Costco regular is currently at $4.88/gallon here, and not anticipated by me to decrease ....
At ~15 months & nearly 9K miles FUELLY indicates an overall mixed use mpg average of 40.8 ...
In the first stages of climate change here in the Pacific Northwest I was known to say the weather was improving ... not so much now ....

Most likely the 1st choice for a replacement for a totalled Hybrid Maverick XLT would be a BEV ... e.g. Chevy Equinox AWD EV
Here in the PNW...I would buy a 3500 dirtymax and roll coal on all the EV climate change scaredy cats. If Mybrid got totalled that is.

You've reached the top. Hope this one stays unscathed.
I'm not a person to drive a lowered truck but these Mavericks look pretty good dropped. (y)

I really enjoy my hybrid also. The reason for posting this question to begin with is, I am currently on a cruise and my stepson is staying at my condo taking care of my dogs….he has access to my Maverick and the keys….
Ahhhhhh. Totally understandable. Hopefully that cruise will get over with fast so you can get back to enjoying your truck!

I am watching it on the Ford app, so I will know if it gets driven.

Probably nothing. I work from home and we had no problems sharing a single car for 6yrs. We had not even considered getting another vehicle until I read about the Maverick hybrid. If it was totaled, we'd probably just continue driving our jetta and go another 3+ years before even looking for something else.

It mostly depends on whether I survive the accident.

If I do survive, I have a spare Maverick Hybrid.

If I don't survive, a small plain cremation urn will be fine.

Buy a different truck. But, I like to think positive. What if my Maverick doesn’t get totaled? Is your glass half empty, or half full. Think positive thoughts, my friend!!
Funny as a soon to be cyber orange hybrid owner I've thought about exactly this.. I don't know how much headache body work would be for a second year production model with a discontinued paint, but I kinda thought I'd rather it BE totalled and just start over!

Too many negative thinkers here. I stay on the positive side,

That fear is why I ordered another 2024 Maverick Hybrid Lariat BAP...this time Carbonized Gray, since I couldn't order another Alto Blue. I have no idea what the future will bring, but I do know that if I didn't order it, it wouldn't be an option.

I would jump off a cliff. I'm clearly way too attached to my Maverick!

Preferably the same year, model and color Maverick. In lieu of that, I‘d seriously look at EV options such as the Bolt EUV, Mach-e, Rivian R1S and Fisker Ocean.
