I am waiting on my truck and wondering just how much we are ignoring about what seems to be several problems with a NEW truck. Some are installing new batteries to fix a deep sleep problem that dealers get off the hook for under warranty? Grabby brakes are still a problem, shifting problems from ICE to electric? I can't imagine getting a brand new vehicle and expect to be taking it to the dealer and them telling you they can't duplicate your problem and send you on your way? The Deep Sleep and low voltage and not starting are quite concerning along with grabby brakes. Does anyone know how prevalent these problems really are? If this hybrid stuff has been around for sooo long, why all the problems?

you are commenting about all the posted problems. Many of us do not post at how great the hybrid has been. No grabby brakes, no starting problem, no issues period. 42mpg.

We have a CMAX with a similar drivetrain. It does have grabby brakes. 45mph avg. The Mav is a more refined, simple vehicle, attractive interior.

Why borrow trouble discussing problems on a vehicle that you do not even have? Sheesh, get something that you can feel proud to drive.

Hybrids have been around for decades. This is a new model vehicle and there have been quality control issues with some of the parts. The hybrid drivetrain technology itself is rock solid.

I think half of the "grabby brakes" complaints are from people who have never had regenerative braking. When I drove my first C-Max, the brakes seemed a bit different. Now I''ve had 2 C-Maxes and my Maverick. No grabby brakes, no deep sleep issues after the first week (never had a starting problem, just went into deep sleep a few times as the battery got charged from driving a bit...instead of sitting in Mexico or sitting on a train for long periods. No recalls, zero complaints.

Well, I think I am just a bit concerned that these items are being reported and no real FIX for many of them. I think being pro active is better than not asking at all. Obviously I am all in on the truck or I wouldn't be waiting for so long to get it.

This will be my first hybrid, so all I know is what I read on this site. I hope that it all gets figured out before they start making the MY24.

Love mine! I've had it just over 2 months and 4000 miles and no problems. I'm averaging 49mpg.

I've had my 23 Hybrid for a month...1200 miles on it, no issues, no deep sleep issues (even after leaving it parked in the garage for four days without driving it), 45 mpg city driving.

I was REALLY worried after lurking on here for over a year, but no issues (so far).

Perhaps looking at it with the glass half full, no fix is needed? Far more owners love their mav hybrids, have no issues, and do not post, vs the few that have an issue and blast it out here (making it seem like there is a big problem).

Before taking ownership, my one concern about the Mav hybrid was the damper issue that some vehicles had. Brakes are simply programming. Ours is very normal--the regen percentage on the gauge changes quite a bit during braking, but there is no noticeable grabbing.

Nailed it...no recall on mine and 0 complaints over 4k miles. I do have a warranty on right side back passenger exterior window trim rubber. They said no problem and ordered new one. Just waiting to here from them for install. I only use touch less car wash.

199% agree with 'Onceforall'. I've had my Hybrid just over 2 months, 3500 km (2174 miles) No issues at all. Without looking at the dash, hybrid coach, i can't tell whether the ICE is running or not, no noise difference, perfectly smooth transition. No battery problems at all.
And the fuel economy, 5.0 litres per 100 km. (47 mpg) since taking delivery. Mostly rural roads 80 km/hr (50mph), some small town driving. that is since taking delivery.
The truck has been sitting, not moved for 5 days now and no 'deep sleep' message. (Will be finished my meds in 2 days and then I'll be driving again.) I did get the deep sleep message in the app once, but that was my fault, 2 short trips, ICE never started and then spent about 3 hours playing with the dash and centre screen settings. The Maverick did start OK and all good since.

There are just a few trucks on here that have issues and it’s usually the same people. So don’t fret some people want perfection for a $22,000.00 dollar vehicle. You want perfection by a $500,000.00 Ferrari even at that is a risk. I’ve had my truck since October 1st 2022 as others have said the first month I was getting the deep sleep mode on the Ford app, after 4 days of sitting, however the truck always started, just remember the truck has computers that are learning your driving habits so be patient. I do have the under 5 mph grabbing brakes but I don’t give a crap about that it’s not worth the truck being at the dealership for days just for that. Yes there are recalls, but I haven’t had any of them completed I’m enjoying the truck the way it is let all the fools that just can’t wait and for some reason need all the recalls done like yesterday. Enjoy the truck and tell yourself wait on everything else. Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy it…..its a great ride.

I never experienced grabby brakes on my 2013 CMax hybrid and only experienced it a couple times on my 22 Maverick during 18 months of ownership. I’ve only had my 23 for 2 weeks and no grabby brakes. Deep sleep issues? Never in any of the 3 vehicles.

I was a little concerned when I first picked up my 23 with 50 miles, filled up with gas only to have a range of only 308 miles and an average of 30 mpg 🤔 The first thing I did was get out and check the tailgate for the hybrid emblem. I thought they forgot to add the hybrid to my order🤣 Then I realized the heat index in FL was over 105° for several days and the poor guys detailing my truck for delivery were running the AC while parked👍🏻

Forums make anything look like junk.
This, go pull up the forum for ANY VEHICLE EVER MADE and it will heavily slant toward problems. Negativity bias, we post problems, we don't post OMG my truck is trouble-free!
