I did a search for water in floorboard, etc but didn’t find anything so I apologize if this has already been addressed. We had a good rainstorm last night and when I opened the door this morning I found water on the driver’s side mat. Grateful I had just added the rubber mats yesterday. Anyone else find this? Maybe a part is missing?

Heading to the dealer today for my hood deflector so I’ll ask if they have any idea.

I haven't noticed that, but I did notice that when you open the rear door after a storm, the water in the drip rail on the top of the door rolls right off the door onto the floor.

Does your truck have a sunroof? My dad’s dodge had water accumulating in the same place due to plugged/overflowing sunroof drains. Not sure if this applies to the maverick but might be worth a look.

I think there were reports of people having leaks on the passenger side of some Mavericks. Like, soaking carpet and such...

Haven't noticed any water inside truck, but have heard a gurgling sound coming from firewall after a hard rain.

My new maverick had a smell that got worse as the weather started getting warmer. Been in and out of the dealer. Changed the carpet with no help. Now it's been in the dealer for months. Specialist came to the dealer water doctor found a leak in the roof seal. Now the complete interior inc. Dash was gutted. Found mold everywhere!! Replacing everything that could keep a smell. Still waiting on parts. Ford is looking into a buy back. 2years between waiting for vechile and dealing with old stinky!! Not impressed with my maverick. Ordered 24 but who knows when that ever come in. Ford needs to step up do the right thing here !! So do rule out a leak !! Hope that helps.

These kind of posts scare the heck out of me. Hope you get a new truck under lemon law.

To OP Hope dealer can find it BUT since it only had so little amount of water over an entire night I think its doubtful they find it. Hope I am wrong.

Well that's how it started with mine. So roof panel must of sent water everywhere as I was driving. It's only got 2k miles never been able to drive long trip. Dealer couldn't find it either. Took specialist to locate. Still don't know if they fixed it. Just sits at the shop. Driving rental cars hoping ford will step up on a buy back. Been real nightmare!! Good luck in yours hope it simple fix. Seen other post saying the evaporator under dash could be a problem ?

It rained hard again yesterday and there wasn’t any water on the mats this morning. I’m definitely going to be watching this!

Silly me, wrong search terms😖 Well now I’m terrified after reading all these links😱 I guess I’ll put my nose to the floor and sniff around 🤥
