I poked around with the menus and also did a search here but can't find this info.
While driving, how do I find out how much of my hybrid battery is currently charged/depleted/used?

I wish the driving screen would show it but there is no checkbox for it.

Your blue bar shrinks faster....need more charge. Best guess from me. I tried the slippy selection today....hot damn i will be using that a lot for my driving. It made a huge difference. This had to have been 700 mile club selection

Nothing as built.
But yes you can read the information with a device connected to the on board diagnostics port, under the dash, above your left knee.

i think the lack of a screen that could display the Hybrid battery remaining charge level is questionable at best, but the design team did throw us a bone of sorts. i refer to the oft maligned EV Coach screen thats selectable from IP display steering wheel menu, this display along with the power meter do give us a great deal of info.

there is a thread(s) on this site that discuss what the length of the little blue box thats shown when the Mav is operating in Electric or Hybrid powertrain mode is trying to tell us. basically the longer that little bar is the more throttle you can use B4 the Master Engine Control Module decides its time for the ICE to kick in and how much. watch the power meter thats where the Tach usually goes. keep it in the green area and you're charging the battery. keep it under 10% or so and youre using next to no ICE assist if any. this is NOT the same as Hybrid battery charge level as i understand it, but rather a real time indicator of whether or not the computer thinks it should activate the ICE and how aggressively or not to kick in the ICE. i have NO idea of the actual algorithms used so i want to clarify this is purely observational on my part after just 1900 miles into ownership.

from my early observations on my '23 Lariat Hybrid availability of electric battery power mode only is dramatically impacted by driving mode, i.e. ECO; SPORT, etc. as well as driving style. Jackrabbit starts and lead foot drivers will not be in electric mode very much. also the different driving mode choices have a large impact on how much regenerative brake energy is captured by the Hybrid battery. i seem to keep it in electric the most by just getting up to a few miles above where i want to be and then backing off the throttle just a hair. using this method i have been able to cruise around 40-50 mph in electric mode with no problem.

^^^ Pretty much yes.

The modes affect the instantaneous strength (in kilowatts or brake horsepower) of the regeneration, but it does not affect the quantities of power (kilowatt-hours or percent charge) recuperating from braking.

It is what do you prefer?

10 kw for 10 seconds of braking to recharge the battery 1% in 10 seconds of slowing? NORMAL

or

20 kw for 5 seconds of braking to add 1%? ECO

Or

5 kw for 20 seconds of braking to add 1%? SLIPPERY

Ecoboost and hybrid owner here.
I cannot add to the battery monitoring part of the discussion, but personally, I find it stressful to try and keep up with hybrid battery stuff. I’ve swapped To the CALM screen and enjoy driving the hybrid more. It’s much smoother and quieter compared to the EcoBoost. Same loops/areas…40+ mpg when driving hybrid, 26- mpg when driving the EcoBoost.
The spouses KИ EV6 is another thing all together when it comes to battery monitoring an accelerator/regen usage.

Serious question: what would you do with the information even if it was presented to you? It's not like you can do much about the charge level, unlike a PEV

I do a bit of driving on farm roads with no one around.
Knowing the current battery level helps me determine if I should even bother coasting along or keep building up speed. the whole pulse and glide type of driving really does help a lot with fuel economy on empty roads.
Plus, it's fun to see how low I can get it on some drives.

The past couple of days, I turned everything off on my routine drives. Guess what? I got Window Sticker Rating of 42 MPG city!!!

However, with all the gauges on, (and a few added ones via ScanGauge) I routinely get 52 MPG city.

Looks like all the data helps to make a gallon of gas go 24% farther.

Without a doubt, if I had only one, EV Coach. It is a rudimentary battery gauge. But much more.

This is a fully charged battery.
By full I mean the software limit of 70%

This is an empty battery. By that I mean the software limit of 30%.

The outline shows you what is available. When it fills in with solid it shows how much you are using. Keep your pedal press gentle enough to "stay inside the box" and you stay in EV drive.

Most people will never (or rarely) see either of the above extremes. Usually the battery hovers about 50% which looks like this:

P.S. the length of the blue bar is not linear. Dropping 35% to 30% it shrinks rapidly. Charging 65% to 70% it grows rapidly. In the middle it moves slowly.

Thank you very much. That’s the screen I am using and now have a much better understanding of it.
