Yeah...the custom order Maverick was mistakenly placed with all the other Dealer Stock Mavericks they ordered...All ZERO of them, then they accidentally sold it for a pile more markup. What a crock.

My dealer did not mark up my price, gave me the offered "stop whining 'cuz we didn't build a MY22 and you got a MY23" hush money. Kept me up to date on any news, good or bad. Assisted me with the best interest rate available...

—I worked for a ford dealership after an ordered my 2023 Ford Maverick. I can tell you that the dealership knows the difference between a custom order and an inventory vehicle by the color of the MSRP on the window sticker. Blue means it’s for inventory and green means it’s a custom order. If it’s green then it also says CUSTOM on the window sticker!! In my humble opinion, the dealership knew exactly what they were doing to Mr Gierz custom ordered Ford Maverick. And it’s about time that either the FORD Company or the consumers take it to the next step!!! FORD Dealership owner(s) are pompous, arrogant Hell bound buttholes who need a swift kick where it hurts….their deep (political driven) pockets! JMHO, K. Jason Gough

The guy who did the order had the opportunity on camera unless he did and they cut it to say. This was no mistake. There is NO stock deliveries and couldn't have been a mistake. I wonder if he did and the news just cut it. . I hope with news pressure they get him another.

Both dealerships should be doing only one thing: Searching the inventory of every dealer in the USA and when they find a Maverick their customers are satisfied with, load it on a truck, not drive it, and bring it to their dealerships for those customers.

While my overall experience ordering through Chapman in Philly back in 21 pick up 5/22 was good, I do think they tried to do this to me.

I had scheduled a courtesy delivery to Dallas. They "forgot" to set it up before production so I had to pick it up in Philly. Jokes on them. Wife works for an airline, I fly free and I am willing to drive 24 hours in 2 days to get my first brand new vehicle in 28 years....

So I picked it up and saved 4% off MSRP with Zero percent financing back in the day!

Having driven several loaners over the last few months: retail orders have a giant sticker that says "RETAIL" on it in several locations. Forget the color of the window sticker. Those "RETAIL" stickers are paper and take effort to remove.

The dealer saw it.
