Once you get to Shelby Maverick, if you have to ask the price...While cool, the cost to do something like that would put it in an MSRP category it just couldn't compete at.
Imagine a high performance Maverick with the 3.0 TT from the Ranger Raptor.....

Good luck getting that to fit. While cool, the cost to do something like that would put it in an MSRP category it just couldn't compete at.

My very first new car was a very affordable Shelby. It would be built by Shelby, not Ford. Cost? $89,995. Plus $20,000ADM.
You wouldn't need to speed limit it, as aero drag would take over. The run from 140-155 in my Lightning was a lot slower, but it did get there. The front end is just 5% percent too aggressive and a real Shelby should be a bit brighter. Replace some of the black with white, and some of it with body color. I think a tuned 2.3 with a redesigned turbo and completely revised exhaust system and larger intercooler making around 390 hp/tq would be perfect. Also needs larger F/R sway bars, strut bracing, revised shocks, the Tremor rear differential, and of course a 6 speed available.
Sell 3 models, through Shelby.
1. Appearance and handling, comes with everything but the 2.3/6spd. 290hp/315tq
2. Full Shelby as spec'd above 390hp/400tq
3. Turbo upgrade with limited warranty 480hp/500tq
With AWD it would keep up with a Hellcat to 150mph! Probably limit the top speed to around 150-160 because of truck aero.
