Don’t let the naysayers get you down. It will get built. We just don’t know when.
It took a year for my '22 hybrid Lariat FE to get built but it did.

So my priority code is a 03. I assume that's good?

How does the incentive from Ford show up? (I have a MY23 order that likely won't get built)

Off topic here: I was following my "rail car" and it got to Virginia (the destination) and then went to West Virginia an then to Ohio. Got with Ford Chat and it turns out it was dropped off and the final rail yard on the 15th, so the car was on its way back. I went to the dealer yesterday and asked my salesman "where's my truck?" He says "I don't know". I said "I do, it's waiting for the car carrier".
On topic: Salesman said they had 36 allocations last year and they have 80 this year and have only taken 25 orders so far (he took 5). Has the demand flatten out that much? I was surprised.

I requested my dealer do a MY24 rollover order for my XL hybrid that was not scheduled in 2023.
He says he placed the new order on July 18 but I have no confirmation email from Ford. The order sheet that my dealer gave me says in small print at the bottom, "This order has not been submitted to the order bank."
What the heck? This is the worst vehicle buying experience of my life.
How do we know what to believe?
I prefer to buy from American companies but the Nissan Frontier is starting to look pretty good...
First, how is a vehicle being built in Mexico more American than a vehicle built in Mississippi?

But yeah, I went in person Monday to "update" my 2023 order to a 2024 and walked out of the dealership with nothing to show I did. And no confirmation from Ford yet. Even after being very clear as to what I was trying to do the kid they had assigned to taking Maverick orders tried to do it like it was a brand-new order with a new order number. Wow.
I have no confidence anything was done.

3 is really good. I'm a 3 too. I wonder why some carryovers are 10 and some are 3? I ordered an XL Hybrid. Same as last year.

How do you know that? Did you get a piece of paper with some info on it?
I got nothing but a pat on the back and being told everything is OK because we are rolling all orders over. (Just what Ford was trying to avoid).

It's on the order summary the dealer gave me. My sales guy reached out to me a day after I got the 2024 order confirmation from Ford. I had to sign a couple of things for the new order too. Maybe ask your salesperson for a copy of the 2024 order summary and ask if you need to sign anything.?

I would say the majority of orders here are for MSRP. Did you consider dea

It's very generous for the dealer not to charge more for a truck that was never delivered. Sheesh...
The markup was $900. I'm okay with that.

It seems that a lot of people are ordering XL Hybrids (not just reorders/carry-overs). Yall must be some super patient people! My understanding was that Hybrids were only planned for 35% of total production, XLs only 20%, and a lot of those both would be absorbed by reorders/carry-overs. Add to that the issue of Ford's battery production constraints - most of which are reserved for Mach-E production - and the assumption that Hybrids will be build toward the end of the production run. It seems many of you may not get your '23s or '24s! There are a lot of assumptions baked into these statements, but they are informed assumptions I got from several different sources.

Now I didn't want a Hybrid - didn't want the complexity, nor did I want to support the adverse economic or environmental impacts of hybrid/EVs - but I did want an XL. But the XLT is planned for between 55-65% of production, and 2.0 EB 65% - so to me that has the highest chance of being built, and more likely to be built earlier in the production run. As such I opted for XLT 2.0EB.

But I may have shot all my chances for earlier production by opting for AWD and 4K Tow. Doh!

Huh? The "adverse economic or environmental impacts" ?

Like using HALF the amount of fossil fuels over the course of its useful lifetime? Like emitting HALF the greenhouse gasses of a standard vehicle over the course of its lifetime?

What economic impacts? Starving oil companies by only buying HALF the gasoline of a standard vehicle over the course of its lifetime. Perhaps we should get more subsidy for the oil companies. Poor impacted people they are.

Any by they way, if you are an engineer you might know that the Maverick Hybrid is far less complex with nearly half the moving parts of an EcoBoost model. It's actually simpler from a mechanical point of view, just harder to understand - obviously.

And if there are lingering "what abouts" on the "environmental impact".....yes there is that old saw from certain news outlets about the batteries outweighing the benefits. Worth considering but most of that argument is put out there to the bubbas to scare and keep them from buying into change. In factual terms, the very small hybrid battery in the Maverick Hybrid is less impactful in terms of material density than a multiple battery pack on a heavy duty diesel truck or bus. Nobody is whining about those lining our highways with their carbon footprint. But those hybrids....they must be stopped LOL.

Use ford chat and ask if there is a new ‘24 order under the sales code and order #. I was able to confirm that yesterday. See below.

Justin: So your order has been received and is awaiting scheduling action. I believe this order was upgraded from a previous year model correct?

Please continue to check in here, with your dealership, and by utilizing the vehicle order tracking website when you receive your VIN (link below), for updates on your order:
https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking#/

Jon: that is correct, i had a '23 order that was converted to a '24 yesterday but i never received a confirmation it was inputed. Sounds like it was.
Justin: Yes it is showing up in our system.

Doesn't matter what PC the dealer puts in for '23 rollovers Ford is handling the PC because a lot of dealers didn't do it right last year.

On Monday they couldn't enter orders until mid-afternoon and the system kept going down. So many didn't get their DORA. Call the dealer and ask for it plus they need to do a new COVP if yours is a rollover.
