In his review he shows the mpg for city combined and Highway. An impressive 37 combined. great worth waiting for.

Definitely one of the more thorough looks into the details of the Maverick. Even got the second, 2/3 open tailgate position.

EDIT: Admin merged my thread here and removed my title along the way.

This thread's title of 37 MPG Combined for Hybrid is wrong as Alex clearly states 42 MPG for the Hybrid driving over 150 miles, 25% City/75% Highway with Highway Speeds up to 70 MPH on the Interstate with AC set to 64.

The EcoBoost only obtained 21 MPG.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fantastic MPG for the Hybrid considering that only 25% was city driving and that the AC was set to 64 along with 75% highway driving with Interstate speeds of 70 MPH.

My driving is 75-90% city which should boost the MPG even higher for me.

Video is queued to Hybrid numbers:

Now the EcoBoost numbers at 21 MPG being 1/2 of the Hybrid all I can say is Ouch o_O

Yes he was driving with Start/Stop off and a little more aggressive but as many posters here have shown a lot of interest in disabling Start/Stop completely.

Just as MPG for an EcoBoost will be higher if not driven aggressively and with Start/Stop enabled the Hybrid will also improve with a more city/highway balance tilted toward city driving.

Video is queued to EcoBoost numbers:

Alex on Autos test drives both Hybrid and EcoBoost Mavericks.

Check out the rest of the Ford Maverick reviews @ https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/📄-2022-ford-maverick-ecoboost-hybrid-reviews-list-is-here.2845/

The Title of "Maverick Hybrid Review - 37 MPG Combined"

doesn't do justice for the Hybrid as the majority of drivers will not be towing. I in fact do not even have a tow hitch. Only showing combined regular hybrid driving with towing down plays the great regular hybrid driving MPG numbers.

Could you please update the title to show that Alex got 42 MPG for the Hybrid driving over 150 miles, 25% City/75% Highway with Highway Speeds up to 70 MPH on the Interstate with AC set to 64 for regular driving.

Maybe :

"Alex on Autos: Maverick Hybrid Review - 37 MPG Combined, 42 MPG Regular Driving, 28 MPG towing 2K lbs"

Thanks

EDIT: Administrator thanks.

Those numbers are Ford suggested numbers not what he actually got while test driving.

What he got was:

Alex clearly states 42 MPG for the Hybrid driving over 150 miles, 25% City/75% Highway with Highway Speeds up to 70 MPH on the Interstate with AC set to 64.

Understanding this is a small sample size, but that works out to somewhere more than 50city/38hwy or 45 combined based on EPA ratios. Maybe @bombast's photoshop job isn't too far off :ROFLMAO:

Whats also kinda cool is Alex mentioned he got 28mpg while towing 2k lbs with the Hybrid on a short 15 mile run. not a long range test obviously, but pretty amazing if it holds up.
better than my 350 gets towing that around

Owning a hybrid now, the start/stop is kind of a joke on a hybrid. It will do this no matter what as it cuts the ICE out when it's not needed and kicks in when it does.

I pretty much only watch Alex on Autos and Doug Demuro on youtube for car reviews. Alex for his super thoroughness and Doug for his fun take on all the weird stuff in the car plus he isn't afraid to dislike things.

It sounds like he'll be doing at least one follow up video, so great!
