Will scheduled orders for 2023 maverick 100% for sure be built?

I ask this question due to the opening of the order banks for the 2024 maverick. I would like to make sure that my order will be built for the 2023 model year now that it has a tentative date for production. If its not a 100% sure thing, then I will order a 2024 just in case. Please and thank you for the information!

The question I have is will the 23 role overs ever get built?
That is a good question as well. I am one of the lucky ones I suppose being one of the last orders to be scheduled. with a date. I am just worried that my luck will run out if I do not order a 2024 just in case. I do not want to do this though if I do not have to. Mostly because that is just another order in the 2024 bank that is not needed if I get built this year.

@fordvideoguy Any thoughts?

When exactly are you scheduled for? I think somebody asked the same question recently, and mentioned that if you're scheduled right at the end of the production year, like in october, then sure there's maybe a chance something could happen and it won't get made, in which case having a 24 order in the system makes sense. But for instance I'm scheduled one week from today, I have a pretty high degree of confidence that it's going to get built.

They are all just another order. I don't trust ford or the dealers to do the "right thing".
Last year many vins were cancled and moved to 23's. There are still folks who ordered a 22 that haven't got there truck yet. No faith left.

I am scheduled for September 4th. So it is pretty hard to depict if mine will be built I think, but I am unsure which is why I ask. Congrats on being scheduled for next week! I'd call that a pretty sure bet as well!

Honestly, I think Sept 4 is probably good. If it was first/second week of October, I'd be placing a backup order. Orders DO get shuffled around before being produced, but I haven't seen the kind of shuffling this year that happened last year, and in fact have seen a number of posts recently that makes it seem like the factory is actually running a bit ahead of schedule. Anything can change, certainly, but fwiw, I think you're good. Also, you're EB, the big constraint has been hybrid batteries, not EB.

Thank you for the information and the vote of confidence in my order!
Yea I went with the Eco for many reasons, and I am glad I stuck with it. It sucks that the Hybrid components are a big constraint, and that is the biggest reason went with the Eco. Hopefully by Ford increasing the price of the Hybrid (With much sadness too), they can curb demand for it and get more orders completed. I will keep rooting for the Hybrid team and be jealous of their MPGs!

Well no way to know for sure . But if you do order a 2024 just in case then the special price ford offers for 2023 roll over I assume would go to that order? Assuming that is correct then I would place a 2024 order just in case. Once your 2023 is built then cancel the 2024 order. I myself had mine built last week just not shipped so i have no worries. BUT you I would place a 2024 order as a backup. Imagine if you for some weird reason you don't get a 2023? Then your screwed.

I put in a back up order after my salesman conferred with his boss. We decided since Ford will be cancelling any unneeded 2024 orders, we'll let Ford make the decision it is unneeded.

I'd rather get my 2023 anyways due to equipment, color, etc. on an XLT Luxury hybrid.

After having my 2022 VIN and production date cancelled in October 2022, I would absolutely positively advise you to be ordering a 2024, VIN or not. There were 6,900 of us that got cancelled. I have my 2023 now instead.

I went in to my dealer on Saturday with the intention of ordering a '24 in case my '23 isn't built. My salesman told me my truck will be built and in case something weird happens and it doesn't, it will rollover with price protection.

Take that for what it's worth.

I do have a build date of 8/28, so I'm pretty confident in getting mine built. If it was late September, I'd be a bit nervous.

It won't rollover with a private offer unless a 24 order with the same order number and dealer is made. They are making extra effort to build the rollovers this year because of the problems last year. But there is no guarantee. The factory could burn down. Biggest problem is the willingness to sacrifice the entire order just to get a hybrid when they have said over and over and over they can't build that many hybrids.
