After seeing the new ordering date of July 17th I was very tempted to order a new Tremor XLT to replace my 2022 XLT, FX4, 4k Tow, Area 51 Maverick. I love the added intelligent 4wd system with the locking transmission, locking rear diff, and better bumper angles and ground clearance but losing the 4k tow was a deal breaker.
I think I might get a travel trailer down the round in the 2200 to 2500lb range and I'll need the extra tow capacity and it comes with a trailer break controller and 7-pin connector. Man, if they had the 4k tow option for the Tremor I'd be all over it. I really don't know why they can't give that option and give the extra low final drive, HD radiator, transmission cooler and extra large cooling fan for the Tremor. Why does the Tremor package not have a 4K tow option too? Is the locking diff too weak to tow 4K pounds or the added 1" lift added too much weight to also do the 4k tow? Seems strange to me.

If you are ordering a MY24 Lariat do you need to add Option 993 for $1,500 or is that included in Package Code 500A?

My 2023 Hybrid Lariat with hitch and Co-pilot was $30,200.
A 2024 with those options will cost me $37,235. This includes
additional options that I was not interested in but now required.
Not sure what I/m going to do. Base Lariat Hybrid has gone way up!

Found my scratch pad when I was speccing the 23 Maverick. These might be the latter end of the 22 prices, so I'll include the total price my COVP had on it at the end of the specs.

$995. Power moon roof

Total: $34,195

2023 COVP: $35,550

2024 Price: $37,980

According to other comments earlier in the thread you don’t add the $1,500 Hybrid charge for the Lariat. The EB + AWD is $2220 up charge but comes standard on the Lariat. The Hybrid is a $1500 up charge.

2220 - 1500 = 720

So your build difference would go from $2,430 to $930. Still a large price increase but not nearly as much as almost $2.5k.

Surprised there's not really more margin for the dealers at the higher end...

Ford actually did some clever pricing trickery there with fully loading the Lariat as standard. You'll notice that dealer invoice is more or less a fixed percentage below MSRP. 98% for Trim Level, 93% for PEP and Options. So Ford is making back the 5% margin on all of those things like CP360, Lux Pkg, Assist pkg, bedliner, and remote start to themselves by making the dealer pay more on the invoice.

That makes sense. If it's already included, you don't have to buy it again.

I looked over in the other thread with the spec sheet and it says the ecoboost is standard on the Lariat.

Lariat is EB AWD standard. Meaning you're paying the $2,220 AWD up-charge by default, that's included in the base Lariat price.

Hybrid is FWD only, so you need to subtract out the $2,220 for AWD. Then, you need to add in the $1,500 for hybrid. So you take the Lariat base price - $2,220 + $1,500 for a net of -$720 on Lariat to drop AWD & add hybrid. Thus the (720) shown.

That's for if they are still having a shortage.

You can put in having only one "smart" key in hopes of getting a quicker build.

I read Ford will remove this option when they find out the supply problem is solved.

I would advise everyone to talk to their salesperson about the 2024 orders. I thought my dealership knew how to handle my 2024 order to get my incentives from my 2023 . I called my salesman yesterday to get my 2024 order changes ready for Monday.He acted like he didn’t understand what I was doing. I sent him the email that Ford gave me a week ago and he acknowledged that he understood it. Apparently he doesn’t know how Ford is using last year orders with COVP for 2024 orders to get priority and incentives.

Once you order a MY24 to replace your un-built MY23, can you change the trim level after we know what the private offer will be? I ordered a MY23 base Lariat with a hitch for $29,355. I don't want all the Copilot 360 or lux stuff on the MY24. That's out of my budget. Thinking of downgrading to XLT with a hitch.

This year you could. It’s like shooting at a moving target right now since we don’t know the private offer amounts. (I’m guessing $3k or less on hybrid orders, just my gut feeling). I too may need to change my order once the $ amount is known.

IF you want a Lariat front wheel drive hybrid:

Take base Lariat price...deduct $720 for 2 wheel drive and add $1500 for Hybrid.
