Wooooow you can do that with FORscan? I will have to look into adding this as I did not know that was an option
Some others here claim it doesn’t work but my MPG is right in line when I used eco mode manually.

After you removed the other modes, did the leaf show when you pressed the mode button?
The Eco mode animation being the one that shows when you press the mode button isn't definitive. Does it show the leaf icon when on the main screen all the time? Or a better test would be set your cruise control, slow about 3-5 mph, and resume. Does it gradually accelerate or does it jump on the throttle? That's the better tell if you're in Eco mode. The CC response is the main reason I use Eco since I otherwise get the more regen from L. And when I tried the 'just delete the other drive modes in ABS' it was still obviously in normal mode from that test even though the mode select animation showed Eco.

I removed Normal and some other modes using Forscan.

For two weeks I was able to start in Eco mode, the leaf did not appear so I was never sure that it was really in Eco.

After I reverted back to a stock the leaf was visible again.

Can you share how you accomplished what you did.

1st picture - after removing other modes
2nd picture - driving in Eco
3rd picture - back to stock

There has to be a way

Why is your digital speed indicator in blue?

Yup Eco coach mode. Basically the bar version wrapped around the digital speedometer.

Changes with your acceleration indicating dependency on gas and reduction of electricity usage.

Yes. That’s what the 3rd picture is illustrating.

Don’t get me wrong, I hope Ponchsox does have it working as I thought I did to. I attached the link where I posted I thought I had success

https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...to-eco-mode-with-this-diy-module.17805/page-4

Others tried what I had done and reported back they felt the vehicle was just operating in normal.

Made me doubt that it was actually in Eco mode. Someone with one of those digital monitors that reads everything would probably be able to tell.

The general thought was that if Normal was disabled from the modes it automatically defaulted to it regardless. Nothing to confirm either way.

If someone with one of those devices reported back it was working I’d go right back to how I had it set up.

I just really want it to be in Eco mode so reverted back to manually selecting it until someone else could confirm.

Just add the $40 kit with solid state relays to do button presses for you.

Best of all worlds.
For $40 you gain automation and lose no modes at all.

Can you make a step by step on how to default eco?
It’s been a few months since I did it and I’m out of town right now.

I’ll have a look when I get back but it was essentially enabling and disabling the modes in the ABS module

I also don’t want to tell people how to do something until someone can actually test it with equipment in the different modes normal being the baseline.

Where would I purchase this kit? Thanks.

On mine I have Global Window Open/Close, Traffic Sign Recognition, fog light control (with F-150 Hybrid light switch/BCM wiring), and honk on exit-while-running disabled.
I just received my Hybrid Mav today. I bought a FORscan dongle so I could upgrade my cruise control to the interactive one and asked dealer would I vacate any warranties if I reprogrammed through FORscan. I was told not just the mod I wanted, but any reprogramming anything could nullify all warranties. I also asked can one tell if you accessed computer with FORscan - he said yes. Now I don’t know if this is true or not, he might have been just trying to scare me off of attempting it. Anyway, I am having second thoughts on the idea - even though there are how to videos on how to do this and other cool mods.

Has anyone figured out if the Default ECO mode worked? If so, can someone provide the steps?
