I doubt they'd even cover their costs if they sell it for 25k. But hey, again, would love to see it here. More competition, especially in a category of truck that didn't exist for years, is welcome by me.

Btw, converting that cost to USD makes the Maverick quite expensive there. Maybe we're spoiled by cheap vehicles...
I believe the government charges a huge duty/tax on them.

And no hybrid I assume?
Currently no. It will come standard in Brazil with a diesel. 2024 Hornet RT will be a hybrid, so they will have the capability since the Hornet is on the same chassis.

The biggest selling maverick is the hybrid that does NOT cost more unlike almost every other manufacturer. Then this dodge wont even offer a hybrid. If they do eventually an ad 4K why bother. It looks to be equipped like a Santa Cruz, higher up than the maverick. So depends on price. My guess is similar price as Santa Cruz. BUT 21 mpg is that city mpg as that is bad, BUT no surprises as the hornet is one of the worst mpg small suv's on the market. They are all about perform, ace racing 0 to 60. So for the small amount that want speed over everything else which is a small market. they will like it BUT like I said not many care all about speed. I see a loser similar to Santa Cruz but even worse if mpg is 21.

4xe Rampage will easily give Maverick run for its money. Competition is good for all consumers. Wrangler vs Bronco wars makes better products. I for one enjoyed my 392 wrangler, would never happen if Ford did not release bronco raptor.

This is a unibody version, right? Not something that will compete with the Colorado/Canyon/Tacoma/Ranger.

The three models listed here are the more top tier models. Well... I think REBEL is the mid range because it will be more "off road" but if it's anything like their full size models - lacking in interior features. The Laramie would be the creature feature one, and the R/T would be similar a loaded RAMPAGE, just not as off-roadish and likely have the majority creature features.

The thing is by the time others start bringing out compact trucks the Maverick will be getting a refresh. The Mav was such a great move by Ford. Only issue is they can't make enough of them....

I just don’t like the look but I can’t tell you what specifically. Maybe it looks too close to the 1500

skimmed replies, didn't notice anyone commenting on the rear air. that's an occasional complaint on the Maverick, but personally, I think having the 2 center vents aimed high and center-ish is enough air for the rear.

interior looks similar to my FIL's Journey and some Durangos I've seen. it would not be hard to have better materials than the Maverick so it's safe to assume that.

the 2.0 turbo in the Wrangler makes 270hp/295lbft on premium so that's a bump of about 20 of each over the Mav's 2.0 ecoboost if we assume the same for the Rampage. R/T trim says sport suspension and 19" wheels which hopefully forces Ford to offer a Maverick ST at a reasonable price.

bed lift-over height seems like it's higher than the Mav, more like the Santa Cruz.

seems like there's a typo and/or transcription issue on the wheelbase dimension. 4994mm is too long, would have very short overhang (and clearly doesn't), whereas if maybe it's supposed to be 2499 mm that's way too short - about the same as my 2-door Bronco, so, no way.

Edit: oh, I just saw in the previously linked MT article:
The unibody truck measures approximately 198.0 inches long, 74.3 inches wide, and 70.1 inches tall. That makes the Ram roughly 1.7 inches shorter from stem to stern but about 1.5 inches taller than the Maverick. The Rampage's 117.9-inch wheelbase is also more than 3 inches shorter.
