I had also done this and commented on another thread about my ”success “

I too was able to get it to start for two weeks in what I thought was eco mode.

After I posted it was mentioned by someone who also tried it that the sound of the engine did not appear to change and they believed it was actually just operating in Normal despite removing that selection.

That is when I noticed while it showed through the selector I was in eco mode, the leaf symbol nor any other modes appeared at the top right of the screen.

I returned it back to stock after that.
I'm now finding the same. I went back in to enable everything but now I am missing "Slippery Mode".

I had issue with that but after a few tries got everything back. Got my heart racing for a few minutes.

Use Forscan to set your preferred Drive Mode by disabling the modes you don't want.

Example: Preferred mode is Eco

Option #1 - Disable all other modes.

(In sequence order of a Lariat Lux Hybrid)

Normal: Disabled
Tow Haul: Disabled
Slippery: Disabled
Eco: Enabled
Sport: Disabled

Option #2 - Disable unwanted modes that are before your preferred mode in sequence order.

(In sequence order of a Lariat Lux Hybrid)

Normal: Disabled
Tow Haul: Disabled
Slippery: Disabled
Eco: Enabled
Sport: Enabled
Not sure why you would want to disable all modes!!!!

I think disabling it is tantamount to removing a mattress tag.

If enough people complain maybe ford could do an software update to have it stay on what it was last. Yea I know doubtful but hey why not try.
I doubt it. It's a "safety" thing. It's either the lawyers or the govt is why it's there.

I would keep Normal. I've noticed absolutely no difference in mileage with ECO
After six month driving the Maverick, I've got tired pushing all of the button to get going. By now, I've just push the start button, disable auto start/stop, put it in gear, tap on the gas to release the brake and off it goes. I like the "Normal' mode, the tranny shifts smoother than in the "Eco" mode anyway and agree. there isn't that much difference in mileage anyway...

Something im curious about, if you disable tow haul mode, what happens when you plug something into the trailer connector?

Was considering a tailgate light bar and it could save a lot of money avoiding the curt connector to hook one up properly.

Also, best I can say for the difference between eco and normal mode is that eco is more aggressive with the motor drag when coasting.

Funny thing, I used paper and pencil along with a calculator. Drove ECO for a few hundred miles, then 50/50 ECO/NORM for a few hundred miles, finally NORMAL…. Result NORMAL gave me the best MPG’s. XLT AWD w/Tow Package. Normal mode until the snow.

That would be my luck.
.......I would want someone with experience using a ForScan on my Maverick.
That Definitely is not ME.

Tx for the feedback. I do have Forscan and a cable (from years ago when I made changes on my Focus ST) but was hoping to get more info on what to exactly to change in Forscan.
