After waiting 8 months for my truck and 11 months of ownership it has been sitting in the shop because unbeknownst to me it was getting water in the cab for some time now. The dealership can't find the problem and my floor liners and pads have mold and to make matters worse there is a floor liners shortage, so I may not get my truck back for months. This really stinks! Has anyone else had this problem. And before you ask yes the cowl was checked and I don't have a sunroof.

Are you driving through high water or something?

I would say it's possible to have a windshield that was not sealed properly, or moisture from the A/C is being trapped inside somehow. I don't know where the 'door' is to change the cabin air filter, but that could let rain in too, if it's not snapped tight.

Quite a few of us are having the same problem. I've had mine in the shop twice and they haven't figured it out. Ford told me to try a different service department so it's gonna go in again... I've racked up around 1k in rental car fees so far and I'm praying Ford will reimburse.

I’ve had a similar problem on a non maverick truck with same design center high mount brake light. I would 100% consider that a possible and likely culprit. I was hoping the design would be improved on the Maverick but it wasn’t. It’s common for the water to travel all the way to the front cab. I’ve had this happen on two different model trucks. It’s even more a problem if you install an aftermarket led third brake light with housing.

After reading this I went out and checked my Maverick. Didn't find any, but I park under a carport and the mav is never wet except when I wash it. Gonna keep a eye out for leaks. I had this problem with a 96 dodge Dakota years ago. The smell of mold and mildew in the carpet is horrible.

I think it’s a package issue, either the areas are filled in, such as the outlet in the Lux package or left opened for water to go where it can. Even odds that I’m wrong……

It is sad. No end in sight.
