Anyone else completely tired of the Covid BS issue and a way out of everything nowadays? I'm in construction and it's still the same blame game.

No doubt! Especially when covid/ "supply chain issues" doesn't have dick to do with Fords flawed ordering system.

That’s an “amazing” update. Supply chain issues, ok, right.

Since my Maverick was allegedly destroyed in a rail car accident on 03/27/2023 (which Ford is yet to confirm), I haven’t heard peep. Not a word from Ford. Dealer says they haven’t heard anything on a resolution.

Finally got mine “Dear John” email Thursday just before midnight after 56 days. My 5th one since placing my order September 19, 2022. Curiosity question… since I first tried to order a maverick in January 2022 when they said no, I have NEVER seen a hot pepper red one on the road in all my travels. Is that a rare color?

The never ending supply chain or chip shortage fairy tale. I work in the electronics industry. We order large quantities of servers, desktops, laptops and mobile devices. Were not having any issues obtaining these devices within 30 days.

Totally agree. "Chip shortage" was an excuse that was long overblown and way past its prime if they're still attempting that. I also work in IT and there indeed was a time around 2021-2022 where the latest model 7nm and 5nm chips were hard to find since TSMC was overbooked, but those days are long gone. TSMC now has open orders again (after jacking up their prices a crap ton, of course), and the latest model silicon is available generally with a 30 day backlog, if any.

If Ford is still claiming "chip shortage" as the reason for delays, they are simply lying or incompetent in sourcing parts.

Take those messages with a grain of salt. I received my '45 Day' message, two days AFTER my Hybrid Lariat began production, around 10 days following the scheduling email. Then received an email just days before it arrived at the dealer, stating they'd need another 14-20 days to get her to the dealership, due to shipping delays. - The automated system isn't 100% accurate,.

I got a sorry email last night too.

They should just say:

We got 200k orders in 5 days and we can only build 7-10k a month, so be patient. And most of the orders were for hybrids and they are only 35% of our capacity, but we are ramping production to make 50% in a few months. Oh, and your dealer has to have allocations and they set the priority of the orders they took, so don't blame us.
