Key FOB Remote Start 2023 Lariat Hybrid

I ordered my 23 Lariat Hybrid back in September, 22 and was lucky enough that Ford came through with the build and I picked up the truck a little over a week ago. I added a fair amount of bells and whistles to the order, as I plan on keeping the truck for years to come, but it looks like one of the things I wanted did not get included, as the ford site and sales person at the dealership did not quite understand the alarm scenario. I wanted to get the remote start from the app and key fob and we were under the impression that the "remote start" part of the Lariat package was what was needed, but apparently not. I have the Key Fob that does not have the "2X" button and cannot quite figure out what I need to add to be able to have the remote start from the key. I have the capability on the app, but I don't always carry my phone with me and living in South Texas, would at least like the option to start the AC before getting to the truck.

Remote start wasn't included as part of the '23 MY Luxury Package, but rather a separate option.

My dealer was awesome, other than a little knowledge lack with specific packages. I can add the aftermarket and make this truck exactly what I want.

Makes me happy I bought a 22. Seems many people were expecting acc and Remote start with the Luxury package. But these were broken out. Most likely to ease constraints.

Correct - it was deleted from the 23 luxury package, but option ordering code 18R would have added it for $170 MSRP.

Yep I had the same problem, they were having issues with the remote start chip, if you wanted your truck to start production you had to delete that option along with my spray in bed liner i was informed so elected to delete those.. so i'm assuming that after market is what I will be doing also.

Thankfully, I decided to add that option and the very next week was scheduled for production last year. Used it a couple of times this past winter, and nicely had warm seats and steering wheel when hopping into the truck after clearing off the snow/ice.

So glad I ordered it, making this the FIRST vehicle I've owned with remote start, as well as the first with a heated steering wheel. Didn't know what I was missing, and the seats warm up surprisingly quick, after than my Outback seats did.
