Can anybody tell me if this works on with or for a 2025 XL since I have a key not a fob setup like the rest of the Maverick's? I have in the main instrument cluster a option for remote start so I am looking for info.

I ordered 2 each for my Tremor and Ranger the switch blade type on Alli Express about 2 months ago. Programming is easy. Just make sure the frequency and FCC ID is compatible with the one you're going to order because you could have the correct frequency but not have the correct ID number and it will not work. The FCC ID number is usually located in the pocket if you have the switch blade key FOB. I have my keys laser cut from an online locksmith. I have used him twice with great success .Cost is usually around 60 bucks for 2 keys.

Yes It should work the same for your Maverick IF you have remote option. However you said you just have a key? Your vehicle did not come with a FOB to operate door locks or windows?

the XL Maverick's have a key the switchblade key so its the key and fob combo. In the center stack does show the remote start option. I have it one I would love to know how to get that to work. I was hoping that I don't have to buy a new fob you would assume that if you have the keys from the factory would do that.

Does it at least control your door locks? If it does then you should be able to push the lock button and double press the center button it should remote start.

I don't remember if if you can disable or activate the remote start in the menu. Check your owners manual.

You can for sure I have it one because I felt I could get that to work but I have no real idea what I am doing

In the menu under remote start is there a check box? Everything work fine on my truck so I don't remember the procedure that is if there is one. When I get a chance I will look at my menu tomorrow to see what's there but I think that menu is just for climate control when it remote starts. When you try to remote start and you here your horn honk it won't remote start. The horn means a door or hood could be ajar.

Well, got an extra fob for my 2025 Lariat, programmed it in a few minutes. Works fine. Need to get the key cut somewhere. Here's the listing I ordered from, selected "4 Buttons-A". Tip, don't remove the fob from the indentation until after you've turned the vehicle off, then swap it with the next one (unless it's the last one).

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256810354939660.html

What I did:
  • Have both original fobs (#1 and #2) and the extra (#3) ready
  • Expose indentation, it's in the center console, under a cloth liner
  • Place original fob (doesn't matter which one) in indentation
  • Press start button (turn on vehicle), count to 5
  • Press start button (turn off vehicle), remove fob #1
  • Quickly place fob #2 in indentation
  • Press start button (turn on vehicle), count to 5
  • Press start button (turn off vehicle), remove fob #2
  • Quickly place extra fob #3 in indentation
  • Press start button (turn on vehicle), count to 5
  • Press start button (turn off vehicle)
  • You will see a message either "Key Programming Successful" or "Key Programming Failed"

If you see failed, wait a minute or two with vehicle off, then start over again.
If you see successful, you're done. Congratulations!
