I'm definitely loving this more then doing the A pillar, how is the sound stage? I like the fact they are actually pointing towards the listener and not bouncing anywhereHere is the 3-way front stage pod progress.

I'm definitely not going for SQ competition with this, definitely don't want to spend that type of money or do that much modification either. I just love the best sound I can get, I need to redo my tune in all honesty, but I'm waiting to do that for when I finish installing all my sound deadening and insulation along with my subs. The sound stage is pretty good. You do have reflections like anything mounted on in the pillars. I am happy with pods we built in about 4 hours complete with paint. Pillars may sound better as long as you have the driver and passenger pillars pointed directly at each other.
The only way on top of the dash area to get ride of some of the reflections is to recess the drivers back from the front grill and cover the inside in some foam. Which is what I am working on right now with my Civic with KEF drivers on the dash.
This is not a competition SQ install, I wanted something I could change like pods if I wanted to. I also did not have to cut up anything to make these.
I competed in all the SQ organizations for years. If you are wanting to build something on that caliber send me a PM I will give some ideas on what would have to be done if doing something on the dash but be ready to modify and do a lot of work.
The system is done I will get some completed pics up in next couple days, spent all day today ceramic coating the truck.
