Anyone flat tow their Maverick yet?

Has anyone flat towed a Maverick yet? I’m hoping to get mine by the 2nd of June and I bought it to tow behind my RV.

Yes, I have set up my 2022 Maverick Hybrid to flat tow behind my RV. I used the Roadmaster baseplate since it was able to be installed without cutting anything, and it looks a lot better installed than the Blue Ox baseplate (where they have to make jagged cuts to fit thru the square openings on the front bumper. E-Trailer has some excellent videos showing the installation of both baseplates. Also I used the roadmaster towbar so everything fits without having to buy extra parts to adapt to the baseplate. I am also using the RVI Brake Shadow system which seems to work well with the truck. Expect to pay around 4K+ for the priviledge.

2000 mile round trip to Key West for the month of March. Easy tow and set up. Hauled 2 Lectric bikes, kayak and 6 hp Suzuki outboard along with numerous other things in the truck. RVi brake system, Blue Ox tow bar which I already had from our previous CRV toad.
I used the diode wiring harness that splices into the Maverick wiring. Easy job.

Thanks for the advice I plan on using everything I have now. I’m thinking I just need a base plate every thing I have now is roadmaster.

6 days into a 2 month trip and have flat towed for 1400 miles. Roadmaster base plate, Nighthawk tow bar and auxiliary lighting kit. Blue Ox Patriot BRK 2022. So far so good. Came from Victoria BC and currently in Palm Desert California. Nerve racking driving hwy 99 in North and central California. Road is terrible. Can’t help your mind from wondering what kind of stress your putting on the truck frame from all the up and down tugging. 225 driven miles and 1400 towed.

No fascia cutting....you just have to cut out the lower active-shutter system, which is far more of an issue than the fascia.

I purchased it separately and the shop that installed the tow plate, etc., modified it and replaced the stock one. If I can get it washed today, pics will follow.

The retail price is $400 from my local dealer but I was able to get the same exact OEM Ford part from another Ford dealer for over $100 less. I can tell you the exact amount tomorrow.

The list price for the OEM Ford part NZ62*17626*BA is $407.68, without sales tax. I purchased mine from Lakeland Automall, in Lakeland, FL, for $288.63, without tax. It's quite large and they don't ship so I picked it up on my way back from a trip that passed nearby. It barely fit in the bed putting it diagonally. They are very organized and have good communications. Navigating a motorhome with a toad through their entrance, parking lot, etc. was, well to put it mildly, quite an interesting challenge!

Bluox type bar and patriot 2 brake and within 90 minutes the brake loses power and the truck battery is dead. How are you running power to your brake? We had the charge line installed too.
