Sold my 2022 Maverick XLT eco with 39,000 miles and 1 carfax to Carvana ($24,100)
Have my hybrid being built, BUT
Looking into the Colorado Lt or Trail Boss, beefier look.
At the end Ford dealership has given me a bad taste (see post Mall of Georgia Ford).
And if Chevrolet does not work out I have the hybrid or a flip 👍
I wish Ford realizes when dealership treats customer badly, customers have no future loyalty with the brand.

Until people raise enough rukus with Ford over the bad dealers, nothing will change. Amazing how some dealers will bend over backwards to help their customers, while others treat you like crap. Fortunately, I was able to get one of the great ones.

Best of luck, my friend.

I have a Trail Boss ordered that is scheduled to be built the week of 5/7.

I loaded it up with every available option for the Trail Boss to the tune of 44,800.

Then they released the abysmal fuel economy for it (worse than a Silverado) and I'm no longer seriously considering a TB anymore.

17/19 for the L3B with MT tires. So expect that mine with the HO L3B, lift, tires, etc - that 17/19 is best case scenario.

I'd bet 16-18 average MPG would be all it will see. That is not even full size economy.

Ford has little control over the dealers because of state franchise laws passed by everyone's legislators. Unless the dealer breaks the law or commits some significant moral violation bad dealers don't worry about car manufacturers. The dealers also have state motor vehicle dealer associations with political clout. So why blame the manufacturer and instead just do better research on what dealer you buy from?

I don't know how much power Ford has. Should be the customers steering the market by avoiding bad dealers. My dealer was very helpful and honest: Willowbrook Ford in northern Illinois (Steve)

I looked for the fuel economy for 6 months and nothing was published. Then I found out why. Interesting they could not do better.

Tim with pick up truck talk laid it great a few weeks ago (link below). People have been complaining about MPGs in the 2.7 silverados for years now. In order to tap into any of the power you have to really lean into the engine. The 8spd tries to mute the engine not enhance it, so you're left to ring it out in order to access the power - and that means shitty fuel economy. The 5.3L equipped silverados get better MPG than the 2.7s.

Then - The 2023 Colorado actually weighs MORE than a 2023 Silverado LT - so one can expect even worse fuel economy than their full size Silverado.

Not sure what Chevy is doing here but those numbers are disgraceful.

lol....that's just GM being GM. They're capable of great things, but often screw it up due to their bureaucratic culture. And they are certainly not alone in that accusation....

How are you going to redesign your mid-size pick up truck - make it weigh more than your full size, not increase any interior space, or cargo capacity, and then have it get wore fuel economy than said full size?

Just a head scratcher.

Tried to get a trans line from Mall of Georgia Ford in 2017 for my wife's Sprot Trac . Allegedly they ordered the part, wasn't there when it should have been. Then told me it was out of stock. I ordered the exact same Ford part from eBay and it arrived in 5 days and for a lot less money. That dealership is crap.
