Ordered my hybrid deluxe on 11-11-21 (Marine Corp birthday) and at the same time I bought some Ford stock as a gesture of support. So far nothing from Ford except the 45 day notices and the stock almost 50% down since purchase. The Ford proxy vote is coming up. How should I vote?

Just recieved an email from my dealer (Coconut Point Ford) that my 2023 Maverick was destroyed in a train derailment outside Springfield Ohio. What are the odds. One other truck headed to my dealer was also destroyed. Being told that a "Special Allotment" is being issued by Ford to replace these vehicles. They are saying 3 months to build a new one but who knows. I guess bad luck is better than no luck at all. The saga continues.
Sorry to hear this. Keep us updated, I'm interested to see if Ford keeps their commitment.

I am also interested to see if they keep their word. I asked my dealer what Ford was going to do to make this up to me. He said they are working with Corporate to come up with kinda of compensation. We will see.

This is about the Bronco but I find it fascinating and it really sheds some light on the whole Ford scheduling and allocation process. There is some interesting things going on with Ford and their scheduling of the Bronco. The retail order banks for the MY23 Bronco just opened up on March 27th. There are people that have ordered Broncos going on three years ago now that haven't even been scheduled yet. So as today is Ford scheduling day I checked in on the Bronco thread and quite a few folks got their scheduling emails for May builds that just ordered on March 27th. One person is still waiting on their order from last January so they decided to order the exact same build when the order banks opened on March 27th and they got scheduled on that new order while their old order just sits there.

The interesting thing is that the one's that are getting scheduled here quickly a lot had so called constrained items too. But Ford has announced numerous price increases on the Bronco (I think maybe 3 already this year) and these new orders that are getting scheduled quickly of course are not price protected. Also many on the thread are commenting on how it all comes down to dealer allocations as allocations are key.

Anyway I know this isn't the Bronco thread but I found it very interesting what Ford is doing here. Here is a link to the Bronco thread if anyone is interested in reading the gossip over there:

The silver lining is the longer it takes for my Maverick, the bigger down payment I can save up. I’ll keep telling myself that.
I'm retired and can pay cash, you want to sell if yours if it comes in before mine? I mean just think how much more money you can save up! It has to be a black xlt with BAP, eco boost 4K or the deal is off. I went in to order one Jan 2022 but was told, "No can do, until fall" I went in 9/15, 9:00am and was the dealer's first order. Ive change the order twice to get rid of the unobtaniums but still am waiting. I delivered donuts to the sales floor and they moved me from 19----15 priority. I went in again with my premium hot sauce and warned them that if it did not kill them, I expected to go down to 12 or 10. We'll see.

My Lariat Tremor was originally scheduled for production week of 3/27.

I received an email about a month ago that said the production date was moved to the week of 3/30. Which is odd cause the 30th was a Thursday.

Last week, I receive an email saying it is in production as of 3/30.

Fast forward to today and I just got an email saying my build that was scheduled for production the week of 3/27 is now delayed and they would contact me again in 45 days.

Is the holiday shutdown a possible culprit for this?

The holiday shutdown was accounted for when they scheduled. I wonder if a parts supplier's promised delivery didn't happen on time or there was a quality issue when it arrived.

I think the key is not to get your hopes up. Only then, will something good happen!

I've been waiting for 14 months for my Maverick. I haven't even heard anything from Ford since October when they sent an email that was converting my order to 2023. My dealer couldn't find out anything either. This email explains a lot, and I suspect that I've been caught up in it. Their silence has been deafening.

I'm to a point where I can't wait any longer on Ford. I refuse to look at the Ranger as an alternative because of the way Ford has treated this whole situation for both me and my dealer. I gave up and cancelled my order and will be driving a new loaded '23 Chevy Colorado Z71 in about 2 weeks. I'm sorry about my Mav, but am excited to get this new truck. It will really take something to get me to look at any Ford ever again.

Well that's something anyway! Always better to put down a lot so the interest you pay won't be so much.

My husband has driven Colorado Z71's for several years now. I think this is his 3rd one so far. They have all been very reliable trucks. Hope you like it and get lots of service out of it.

I ordered mine back in September, Red Lariat Hybrid. Decided not to wait. Bought a yellow hybrid until they finally get the supply constraints under control. At least I know I won't have a problem selling this one when mine is finally done. Thanks for the update.
