MY 23 Hybrid XLT Instrument Cluster Lights Out!

I took possession of my 23 Maverick hybrid on 2-21-23. I have driven the truck roughly 1100 miles. Today when I started the truck, my instrument cluster back lights failed to come on. I checked the fuses, no issues. I tried adjusting the settings to no effect. I turned the truck off and back on and the cluster remained dark. I could not see my guages, but was able to drive home using a speedometer app to check my speed. The dealer does not have an opening until April 11. This is very sad as otherwise I have really enjoyed the truck after an 18 month wait.

Anyone else has this issue and/or suggestions?

You might need to try removing/reinserting the instrument cluster fuse to truly cycle the power to it.

My instrument cluster lights went dark yesterday. Today I went to the dealer. The diagnosis was computer glitch. The instrument cluster module was updated and the lights are back on (fingers crossed).

Exact thing just happened to my 23 XLT hybrid yesterday. ~1000 miles on it It's at the dealer now.

Around page 304 in the manual. There is a picture and it tells you which fuse it is...#22. I just had the same problem. I don't know if pulling and reinserting the fuse fixed it or just disconnecting the battery. But the dash works again for now.

Happened to me today. After calling local dealer who couldn't get me in for a month and another dealer 50 miles away who couldn't get me in until next week, I looked here and determined it was a fuse issue. I removed the cover, unplugged the 2 large connections and plugged them back in, and lights came back on. Appreciate having this great site to help diagnose problems!

I got the instrument cluster Black Death yesterday. I am on lists at both ford dealers in the area for mobile recall service before this happened but they can book me an appointment for 4 to 12 weeks. I’ve tried removing and reinstalling the fuse that didn’t help. Can’t be without a vehicle for 1 to 3 months!

I believe there is a recall for this. You might try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes then connect again and see what happens.
