LOL… the younger generation has no concept of using a pay phone.

Several years ago I saw several of younger generation trying out for a part in a play in which they had to dial a rotary phone. Most would just put finger in the holes without turning the wheel with the one in 9 that picked up on turning it also would turn it backwards one of whose fingers slipped out and it returned by itself. (She got the part) !

Edit to add. I remember the first time I used a push button phone I wondered if I had to wait a longer time after pushing a higher number than a lower number before pushing the next number.
Then I also remember having to write a computer routine for a multitasking mainframe to dial on a rotary phone which required setting a supervisor interrupt to time the clicks for each number and the longer time between numbers. Had to have ibm tech set a scope to learn what characters sent down line would imitate the rotary pulse.

Regional maybe? Every Maverick owner I've seen so far has been under 60, at least by appearances. Then again older owners tend not to drive as much, so you would be less likely to see them on the road.

As for the song that inspired this thread, I'm kind of glad I've never heard it before, it's painful to listen to.

Well I'm either young Gen X or old Millennial depending on who you listen to, and the only other one I've seen on the road was being driven by someone who looked like they were in their 30s. So, not Boomers.

Honestly though, buyers of any new car overall will skew older just because younger people rarely can afford to buy new cars. The Maverick pitching younger doesn't mean old people won't buy them, just that they're trying to make the percentage of young buyers a larger than normal.
