This was likely done because a new brake-specific TSB is in the works. I saw several reports here from owners who said their brakes went back to grabbing after a short time, so it seems there's a good chance their initial reprogram fix wasn't 100%.

Most likely the brake TSB isn't gone, it's just being redone
I had my Maverick done about 2 weeks ago. It has improved but not perfect. Driving in the rain / slush today I noticed it was grabbing a bit more than usual. I'm wondering if other people have noticed this when driving in the rain.

The post cited the wrong TSB for the low speed braking issue, this is the correct TSB.
Ford Maverick New TSB for braking issue -- TSB 23-2059 (brakes grabbing removed) 908DF5E3-F181-4AA6-8748-82FA2A801355

Yes you are 100% right I had it done to my Maverick hybrid in the beginning of Jan. 23 . Helped a little but they still grab at low speeds but just not as much . Have had it back to my dealer but there's no update from Ford how to fix it. You pay full price for the truck not a percentage I want a truck that's 100% and I do not have it . Maybe Ford can give me five thousand seven thousand dollars back since I don't a truck that's 100 percent . Ford you don't play games with breaks you want them 100%, if not that's a great way to get into an accident Ford !!!! I guess you forgot about the Fireball Pintos and the 721 firestone's on the explorers and others Ford!!!!!

Yea it is definitely worse in the rain/wet. The TSB improved my experience greatly but I can still tell it's more grabby on a rainy day. I can drive very smoothly now though and have no concerns with the current state. Hopefully no time based regressions like others have stated.

I like my Maverick, but I find it infuriating that the brakes are so bad, and that the handling of the problem (by both Ford corporate and my dealer's service department) has been embarrassingly inept.

I see on the TSB that this is a fix for 2022 Mavericks, are the 2023's not affected? I don't have mine yet so my ignorance is showing.

Mavericks built after 15 Dec 2022 (the date for TSB 22-2493) should have the TSB 22-2493 (original "fix") software incorporated during the build.

Mavericks built after 22 Feb 2023 (the date on TSB 23-2060) should have the very latest "updated" software when they were built.

That's how it's supposed to work... Of course, mistakes do happen, so if I had one built shortly after either of the above dates, I'd probably want to check with my dealership to see if I needed to have the TSB applied anyway. My build was before BOTH of these dates, so I have neither brake software update...

Visited dealer today about tsb 23-2060 even though last visit I was told need for brake booster. They don't remember what tsb they loaded.Taking back on March 15 to check out.I told them not cancel order for brake booster. They are good people to work with. I do think we will get this problem resolved. The the good thing for me is IAM retired with plenty time on hand and two Toyota hybrids in the garage.

My build date was 2/7/22. The service department at the dealership did TSB 23-2060. Brakes felt way better but its snowing a lot today so I haven't really had a chance to go out and really test them.

TSB 23-2060 was done on my '22 Maverick Hybrid Lariat this week. Afterward I drove out to some back roads where I could drive very slowly to try to re-create the brake grabbing symptom and as far as I can tell the issue has been fixed.
How much did it cost you from your Ford service?
