Went for the above mentioned TSB Tuesday. It was a positive experience, my service advisor Shawn got me in and out in bit under 2 hours. Brakes feel pretty much the same except for the exchange between the regenerative brakes and the friction brakes which is now smoother. I won't say perfect, although there will be less spilled drinks, when the than when the brakes were unpredictable. A longer drive later today will be more revealing, as I only used the brakes 4 times. Hit all the lights in Independence, so only 3 stops on the way home. Going into the garage there was no lurch forward when the friction brakes made contact. Just wanted to post something positive. It made my day that it all went smoothly. Best part was I really didn't notice the braking at the 3 stop lights.

ditto. I too have positive experience so far. No more lunging forward when pulling into a parking spot. About 99% better but still not as smooth as my EB braking.

I'll have to say the braking smoothness is much improved but have had a couple of instances of regenerative/friction indecision since the upgrade. Now I can drink coffee while braking.

I am keeping my finger crossed. I took my Hybrid in for the air bag recall and told them to look into the grabby brakes. The service guy's initial response was "well it is a hybrid they drive different". I told him I have driven other Hybrids and this is not a Hybrid "feature" and after a year it is getting annoying.
Fortunately, I had a printout of the TSB and his attitude changed when I showed it to him. He made a note in the service order and asked me to leave the TSB printout in the car for the technician.

Like I said I am keeping my fingers crossed. It is a little frustrating that I need to educate the service department but as long as they can follow directions it should work out.

UPDATE: So much for keeping my finger crossed. Complete failure and waste of my time. It is time to find another dealer for my service. After they had my car all day they sent me a text telling me the airbags have now been ordered, we'll let you know when to bring it back and the brakes are fine. I asked if they installed the software patch and they said the technician did not want to install anything that might make it worse given that he did not experience the problem during a test drive. Fortunately, I live in a metro area (Denver) with numerous other Ford dealerships.

Good to hear that you two saw noticeable improvement. I would love to get mine fixed as I have to ease slowly through a security checkpoint each morning and the twitchy brakes are problematic for me. I have about 24K miles on mine now and would like to get this, the harness, and the airbag recall done, but my experience with the TSB 22-2340 issue has me leery of taking it in. That, and all of the reports of dead Mavericks following the airbag recall.

How is it in the rain? That's when I notice the grabby breaks the most.

I took mine into Chapman Philly last week and had the TSB performed and I have the same impression of all of you. Braking is improved in regular driving but they were grabby in the rain. Still much better than from factory. September 22 build.

I will let you know for sure since it will be raining hard next week in Georgia. And I am fully aware of the extreme brake grabs when it is rain/wet.

Had my software updated 1 week ago.

It seems slightly better. But I'm concerned it may be the placebo effect.

The problem is far from gone.

My hybrid grabs hard almost all the time. Could it have anything to do with the CV axles that everyone is getting replaced? My dealer ordered a set of CV axles because of the vibrating when accelerating. Just wondering if the regenerative braking is causing CV issues.

Read this online:
CV Joints
CV joints are parts of the suspension that need periodic checks. In some EVs, the axle nuts holding the joints might loosen due to high torque reversals.
