  1. Tailight wire sleeve melted by exhaust

I'll check more closely later when I get a chance to see what it's connecting to.
  2. Tailight wire sleeve melted by exhaust

It appears the wires for the tail lights got loose and the protective sleeve melted by the exhaust. Anyone else had this happen? Going to set up a repair appointment soon to have them cover this under the warranty.
  3. New TSB for braking issue -- TSB 23-2059 (brakes grabbing removed)

Yea it is definitely worse in the rain/wet. The TSB improved my experience greatly but I can still tell it's more grabby on a rainy day. I can drive very smoothly now though and have no concerns with the current state. Hopefully no time based regressions like others have stated.
  4. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

Yea I don't think the May 2022 note is accurate. My understanding is that this is affecting all hybrid Mavericks. December 2022 is when they first coded the fix. Definitely affected mine that was built in November 2022. Part of the reason it takes some time is that all three modules that need...
  5. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

My truck was built in November 2022 and the tsb was applicable for me. No issues having the dealer perform it.
  6. How to Save $$ Money $$ on Keys by Programming Yourself -- From a Locksmith and Owner :)

Well I just learned it's 4. I paired two extras but they had battery issues so I had to return. Got two new ones and attempted to pair but got the message saying I'm at the limit. You mentioned previously that a programmer can be used to forget keys, does that mean I need to go to the dealer...
  7. How to Save $$ Money $$ on Keys by Programming Yourself -- From a Locksmith and Owner :)

Caught that right after I posted and deleted my post for that reason. Thanks again for all the help you are providing this forum!
  8. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

I got this done and it was my the dealers first time. They didn't balk at it though, it took them 3 hours. I can say it definitely smoothed out the most obvious grabby behavior. On rainy days I still get a baby grab, but it's like a child pulling me to a stop rather than a Buffalo.
  9. How to Save $$ Money $$ on Keys by Programming Yourself -- From a Locksmith and Owner :)

Do you know the process to remove/forget previously programmed keys? Thinking about scenarios where you lose one and may be running up against the limit.
  10. How to Save $$ Money $$ on Keys by Programming Yourself -- From a Locksmith and Owner :)

Thank you for posting, this is really helpful. I bought the two pack of lariat keys and they programmed fine but I found that each was missing tabs on the battery to keep it in place so would only work if I have the cover off and hold the battery down. I am returning those and trying the cheaper...
  11. Maverick Hybrid brake system grabbing and/or rough engagement at low speeds

Dropped mine off today at the end of the day and they said they would do it tomorrow. They also said they had never done it and didn't comment much beyond that so here's hoping it goes smoothly.
  12. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

For those that have received the update, I am curious if it has improved the specific behavior my truck has. I have never had it make a loud thunk when it switches the brake type at low speeds. But I definitely have two behaviors: 1. Coming to a stop in any manner other than very long, slow...
  13. Western Washington Ford Dealers Thread

I bought from the Ford dealership in Mt Vernon and had a good experience. Similar bad vibes from kirkland above. Bellevue was in close communication and offering all Mavericks at msrp (including cancelled orders) but mount Vernon had what i wanted faster.
  14. Front License plate in Wa state?

I put mine on instead of asking my dealer so I could avoid drilling into the painted portion of my truck. I used the standard bracket they provide but only drilled the bottom two holes into the plastic and used sticky velcro pads on the top. You can't tell by the look of it.
  15. Seatbelt warning screen...any way to remove?????????

Ah nevermind, I was thinking about the backseat children check warning. Is this one happening because your seat belt isn't buckled? This seems to be the area of the manual that turns that off and on but I haven't turned those off so can't say if it affects the screen...
  16. Seatbelt warning screen...any way to remove?????????

I'm not by my truck at the moment but I'm pretty sure I turned that off from the steering wheel options menu (lariat). If it wasn't there it was in the entertainment systems settings menu.
  17. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Loose tests on mine have the front USB turning off shortly after the car is off and my back USB lasts around 90 minutes. My dash cam is plugged into the back USB and I've checked it's behavior frequently. The front USB is not something I've tested more than once.
  18. Recommendation on front license plate holder

I went the velcro route and it worked very well. Thanks for the reccomendation.
  19. DIY How-To Video: Hardwire Front and Rear Dashcam

Thanks for getting back to me. I plugged into USB and enabled parking mode but no luck with that power either when the truck is off. I also did a firmware upgrade on the camera last night but that didn't help. I have had the voltage cutoff on the lowest setting but tried others too just in...
  20. DIY How-To Video: Hardwire Front and Rear Dashcam

A more direct question, I keep reading about a red led light on the hardwire kit when it is receiving power. I don't see where this light would be, can anyone with a successfull install let me know if there is a power indicator light on the kit itself?
