Do I have 4k towing?

Hey everyone, I’m new to the forum. I’m amazed at all the info here! I recently purchased a 2022 Maverick. Not all the information about the features and such was disclosed (for whatever reason). I have an XLT model with plenty of upgrades. One thing I’m not sure is whether I have 4k towing or not. I have the seven pin connector, hitch and trailer brakes in the cab. How can I confirm if I have 4k towing or not? Thanks in advance.

The window sticker will also provide this information. By law a window sticker must be provided with every new vehicle purchase.

Even if you purchased used the information you provided indicates you have the tow package.

With the fx4 package, the only thing missing is the trailer brake/ which is why you need the 7 pin connector. But yours has the 4k package.

The fx4 package, by its self has the everything the 4 k has except the 7 pin and trailer brake controller.

FX4 is also missing the transmission cooler and the different drive ratio.....

Yeah, you can also throw your Maverick into the bed of the 2500HD when you don't need it.

Another thing I can do with the Chevy is drive it, can’t say the same about the ford since they haven’t even built it yet.

Your drivers door tag will list the stock tow ratings. Agree with controller you have it but that's the best place to look for tow data anyway.

Correct, the FX4 does NOT include the different gear ratio, transmission cooler nor the larger radiator.

Fx4 does have the large radiator . it doesn't have heavy duty alternator , transmission cooler or lower rear end gearing . plus no brake controller or 7 pin trailer connector .
