Generally when you apply for loans (car, home, personal, etc.) the credit companies realize you are shopping around so multiple inquiries within a certain time frame will not adversely effect your score. I do not know what that time frame is but as long as you're shopping within the same week, you should be safe. Some of you might be asking the same question regarding if you should go with your credit union/Bank or Ford financing. If I apply at my credit union for a loan and let's say it's approved for 2.1%, but I want to see if I can get a better rate with Ford; would the 1st affect my credit score on the 2nd application? For anyone who cares to answer. Thanks.
