Just bought one a few days ago for $10. Debating ordering another then returning as the first...

So when you guys install, the bottom nut is a PITA. Tighten down as much as you can while still turning it 90 degrees to engage. Also you'll need a T50 torx bit to remove the tailgate bolt, and lose one of the tailgate tie down /bottle openers.
There are replacement tie downs that work with the tailgate assist. I've seen expensive ones as well as this cheap one on eBAY. https://www.ebay.com/itm/234835760283

As for the bottle opener, the other side of the tailgate still has one.

Thanks for this. Also ordered one last week and just got a credit after this price drop.

What are people doing with the space left by the original bottle opener/bracket? I remember a while back someone was making replacement ones that fit with the assist on here but last I looked he wasn't doing it anymore. Toss a D-ring on here instead?
I put a simple black stainless d-ring in mine. There are a lot of options for those.

Good finds, but shipping is annoying. Gonna see if I can find something similar at Home Depot

I'm on the fence about this mod. On one end, I like the idea. The other end it really slows the tailgate down. When you have heavy crap in your hands, I like the fast downward motion. LOL

It’s one of those things that once you have it you just have to have it
My F150 had a tailgate damper, so when I first got the Maverick I got hit by the tailgate a few times
Kinda like radar cruise control…. The regular cruise works fine but it can be trouble if you are used to the radar version

Agreed, My F150 has it but that also has the button on the fob to drop it before I get to the truck. So in that case, it's okay. If I have to unlock the tailgate and actually open it myself.......I know, first world problems. LOL

I can even install the auto lock/ unlock but still have to pull the lever which would make me wait for it to open. I like the idea of just hitting the handle and letting it drop.

Not gonna lie though, IF Amazon gave me $10 off for a locker pickup, I would've speculated onthe $18. LOL. I didn't see the option for the $10 off but did see the locker p/u option.

You have no idea how much my wife's Escape's auto cruise has ruined me. I was perfectly happy with decades of "dumb" cruise control. Now I can't stand it. C360A was a must-have when I ordered. Even when I was lightly considering alternatives this past weekend, that one feature was the starting point as to whether we even bothered looking at the sticker.

I have Adaptive Cruise on my Rav4 and feel like I use it less than I did on the regular cruise. I think part of the issue is the car distance sensor doesn't let me get close enough, even on the closest setting. I then have people cutting in between because there is such as gap. I eventually end up just turning it off. I also only have lane keeping on mine. I'm hoping with the Active and Lane Centering I will be more likely to just let it do its thing.
