Awd for boat ramps, snow, muddy roads, 4k towing. main reason is I like awd better than fwd in general.

hybrid due to ridiculous fuel prices. would have went with AWD if President Trump was reelected fairly and gas prices were $2.09 in january 2021 as they would have been today but as you can see it is
$3.09 - $3.45 in NJ.

I went FWD, I hardly ever, maybe once a year use the 4x4 in my Dakota, wanted hybrid for fuel economy and reliability, and the thought of no belt drive system for accessorize and no external starter or alternator means less maintenance in my mind at least. And dont drive off road and dont need to tow more than a small trailer with my four wheeler in it or my jetski. Besides I also wanted FWD so I can tow behind our motorhome.

FWD Hybrid; fuel economy, don't tow much, if necessary can add snow tires for Connecticut winters.

FWD for Hybrid mileage and cost. No big tows to haul and no severe weather to contend with.

Never had a AWD or 4WD before even though I've lived in CO, MN, WI where so many other said it was needed. I even grew up in FL and SoCal and still never had a problem driving in snow and ice with 2WD when others got stuck with AWD. I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Crazy, huh?

It's a work truck which will be used to haul supplies. It'll never go off road except when I drive on the dirt road at the dump. And I'm in SoCal. No need to pay more for something I don't need and will never use.

I ordered the Maverick to be a runabout for small errands and such and will stay on paved roads. I do hope they offer it in an AWD Hybrid in the future though. I don't need off-road packages, just like AWD after having had it on an Escape a while back.

It's a much-proven fact that AWD offers little to no benefit (over FWD) in snow other than in very specific situations (ie. starting up a steep incline from a stop, like a driveway). A FWD vehicle with snow tires is far more capable in the snow than the same vehicle with 4 drive wheels on all-seasons. Off-roading or stoplight drag racing, absolutely AWD provides an advantage.

FWD - Don't need AWD (Already have a Subaru AWD) - so the FWD was a better fit and the cost for AWD is too high in my opinion.

AWD since i wanted the tow package. For when i plan on moving cross country in a year, two max. Also i preferred to have that taller ratioed diff than the standard 2wd. I think living in an area with snow each year itll be nice to have. Never owned AWD so wanted to give that a shot.
