I know the rear suspension is ver different, but I am trying to figure out if the front differs?

I ordered a coilover lift kit and they sent the entire rear suspension parts. But the front is currently installed and "fit", but I get a constant rattling over bumps and have checked things a number of times and nothing is loose.

Would a front coilover strut be the same on the AWD and the 2WD Hybrid?

Thanks in advance.

Check your swaybar links for insufficient length. You've lifted the vehicle, taking more than a few components out of their design parameters. The links are probably hitting their limits. Also assume that you will need new halfshafts soon since you have increased the angles past their design limits. You're going to need the heavier Tremor shafts to cope with your alteration. If you lifted it to put on bigger tires, you will probably eat the wheel bearings before the drivetrain warranty date. Note that none of this will be warranty.

I reached out to Rough Country because their new lift strut says it's for AWD only. They said the spring rates are different.

I'm guessing here:
"Rough road" = FX4
"Standard" = FWD
"Performance" = Tremor

Sound right? Still wondering what else would be needed to give the FX4 that Tremor front suspension.

That would be my guess also.

Based on the part descriptions, I would guess that AWD=FWD=Hybrid=Standard up front.

EDIT: Not so sure now that I remembered that AWD sits higher than FWD.

It most definitely does not seem like we have gotten to the root of the answer. Excluding the Tremor, which his likely different, I used VIN numbers on the different models and determined that this is the right shocks for each:

Performance Suspension Strut - FX4 (no 4K tow package), AWD (no tow package), AWD w/ 4K Tow Package
Standard Strut - 2WD Ecoboost, and Hybrid

I am 99% sure that the strut body is identical (spacing between mounts, bolts, etc) and the only thing that differs is the spring in the struts (perhaps something different in the dampening of the shock also).

I also found that the hybrid is only about 60-70 pounds heavier (which seems like a small rounding error to me that couldn't really make too much difference in a strut ??).

Behind all of this, I am interested in the Rough Country struts, but they are telling me that they don't work for the hybrid (because the spring rate won't produce the right lift). https://www.roughcountry.com/product/premium-n3-lifted-struts-501147

I wish I knew the difference in spring rates for the Performance Suspension Strut and the Standard Strut.

AWD does sit higher than FWD/Hybrid.

Yea the part descriptions are a joke. Even trying to find the different parts for the underbody "skid plates" there was little to no description.

If I knew what parts were needed to swap my FX4 struts for the slightly taller Tremor ones, and what other parts were used in the Tremor to achieve that small lift (like if they used different springs or something) then I would order those struts. I'm not putting lift pucks on just to have the shock be the limiting factor in the suspension. That is the wrong way to lift.

Sorry... but can I hijack this thread to ask - can I replace the rear springs on a FWD with the rear springs from the AWD? Beside the spring rates, what's the difference?
