Rear Taillight Scratches on Both Side, Factory Installation Problem

Anyone noticed these installation scratches underneath their rear taillight? They are fairly deep. December 2022 Production...

Are they scratches or dried rubber sealant? Some lamps have a black adhesive applied before installation.

Those are deep scratches into the black ABS bumper.

Some are round, I’ve never seen round scratches...

Maybe they used my Maverick to hide narcotics in that area, after crossing the border, the taillamps were removed quickly.....

I don't know if I want to get it resprayed....rather touch it up myself.....

Those are not scratches. It looks to be some kind of sealant. Use some tar remover on it.

Exactly, doesn't look like paint damage to me at all, edges are too soft and some look rounded.

Those appear to be something on top of the paint rather than gouging into it.
i would get closer, maybe remove the taillight, and as noted, use some bug & tar remover to see if it comes off.

Not sure if serious... But it wouldn't be the first time Hermosillo products were used to smuggle drugs. And they don't always get retrieved before arriving at the dealer.

It is not uncommon for there to be excess flash present on headlight and taillight assemblies. This is caused by the plastic mold process. Suppliers typically remove this flash during manufacturing, but sometimes this step gets skipped. I'd guess if you remove the lights you'll find sharp/rough plastic around the lens seam.

Just a random photo, but shows an example of flash. Flash on light assemblies is usually very sturdy and very sharp.
