Started up this morning in 17F with no issues. No "SHIFT SYS FAULT" or low-power errors. FordPass app is showing all green now, and the "contact dealer" warnings are gone...

Perfect! Scary but nice that it reset at Christmas. Mavericks can play possum Really well. Sure seems dead at times, but somehow it can just act like it never happened.

XLT Hybrid. I've been getting the deep sleep messages for a few weeks now, but the truck always started. Yesterday, I tried remote starting with the key fob, as I had done many times before with no issues, and the truck wouldn't respond at all. I thought it was the harness issue rearing it's ugly head, but I probed the 12 volt battery and it was at around 6 volts! I had just driven the truck a short distance 5 hours prior.

So I put a charger on the battery overnight and the truck started the following morning (today, Christmas day)

But the check engine light was on. So I re-enabled connectivity settings t see what the error was, and there were 2 faults:

“powertrain control system has detected an internal fault in a control module”

“powertrain control system has detected a fault in the high voltage system”

Check engine light is solid......Safe to drive?

Merry Christmas

I suggest getting a battery pack/jumper. We've had some issues with my wife's 2020 Escape hybrid as well. I have a Noco GB20 we keep in it just in case, needed it a few times sue to dead/no start condition.

I had that same exact error yesterday. This morning it was warmer out, truck started just fine and warnings are gone.

I have a solar battery tender. Never used it on a car, but use it on my atv and tractor. It works great.
He really should not need any kind of battery "helper". I'm sure you don't drive your ATV or tractor everyday or frequently, otherwise you wouldn't need one either on these. Those solar chargers are not going to give him what he needs. I think what he needs is to get into Ford Service and see what's up

Hi there, and happy holidays! If you are able to send over a private message with your VIN and dealership info, I'd be happy to look into things for you.

Mine has been dead since Thursday, dealer had me hold off until this week due to Christmas. Now Ford Roadside Assistance is supposedly dispatching a "partner" to tow my vehicle to the dealership but that hasn't happened after hours of waiting and status updates go unanswered (never connected to agent):

No, these are not for keeping battery charged
There are different kinds. Noco makes jump starter battery packs, battery maintainers and chargers. The latter two work just like any other similar charger or maintainer and need 120v power.

What lights don’t come on, your overhead and cabin lights when the door is opened or all the indicator lights in the dash?

Your ICE does not necessarily (crank or ) start when initially turning your hybrid to ‘start’ and back to ‘run’.

I would repeat the process tomorrow, enter the truck, insert key, turn fully to ‘start’ and release it to the “run” position. Put the gear selector in drive, release the parking brake and see if the truck moves in electric mode.

If it does, put it in park and the ICE engine will likely kick in shortly as needed.

If the truck does not move in Electric mode, jump it across the 2 pins under the hood pictured above.

I don’t believe my ICE has come on upon my initial daily start up in my 7k miles, it always begins in electric mode.

.
With the hybrid in park and ready you do not have to wait for hvb soc to get low enough to start the ice. Just step on accelerator almost to floor and the ice will start. If you keep the accelerator pushed the idle speed will increase. I do not know is rate of charge is increased or the ice is just running faster.
