I haven't decided yet. I've still got the stock tires in the garage, might find some used Ford Escape rims and just swap the two sets based on the season. I know all weather tires don't preform as well in the heat of summer, and tend to cost MPG. Have to figure out if the cost of the rims outweighs the fuel savings of running the all seasons from April to late October/early November, over the life of the two sets.

I got the Nokian's primarly because I couldn't get Cross Climates until February or March, but I had no intention of going through winter without at the very least some all weather tires. I had Cross Cimates on my previous mid-size sadan, ran them all year long. They were good tires and handled winter snow very well. I am undecided as to which is better, I think the Cross Climates were a little less slippy on compact snow, but the Nokian's are brand new so they aren't even broken in yet, since new tires are a little slick for the first 150 miles or so, at least thats what the tires guys used to tell me away.
I have a set of these same tires awaiting the arrival of my hybrid Mav in Feb…..March……April. Good to know they handle 14” show. I’ve always said that AWD is not needed if you’ve got FWD with a GOOD set of tires.

It was -6 below 0 two nights ago. My MAV lives under an outdoor carport. What I like best about the hybrid in cold weather is how quickly the ICE starts. No cranking like a non-hybrid. The electric motor generator fires up the ICE instantly. No cranking, just Vroom and it goes to high idle for a minute or so. Outstanding!

I've owned 4wd and awd fords, Lincoln, jeeps, Lexus, 4runner, chevy and Honda.
My Maverick has CC2 Michelin tires (much better than stock crappy Pirellis) and it does pretty good.
Sadly out of all the above rides an an old 2006 Ridgeline with stock tires was hands down outstanding in snow and ice. That said it was the only thing I liked about it and personally will not buy Honda again, can't stand em
Just want to say I’m a fan of your user name and avatar.

So thats his name, I have him as my avatar in some social media. Can get my mustache to copy all his signature ‘expressions’
Found a image of him without facial hair ‘don’t google for that, its very jarring’

No, that is something the Chamber of Commerce made up. It really means you don’t suffer as much, because you dry out and die quicker. 120 in the shade is no fun.
so it's not a dry heat, but it will dry you out. got it. 🤪

Oh, it’s dry, but not the nice dry the tourist industry advertises. Literally kill you.

Oh I know after being stationed one summer in south Az with a Mustang with no AC. Driving down the road with the windows open was like being in a air fryer.
