The probably list MSRP.
ACTUAL out the door price can vary. Call them.

Some are sneaky and claim they have to list all inventory, even pre-sold inventory not yet picked up. So call.
You might get lucky.

Ya. Figured. But hopefully you said "call me if anyone ever declines delivery."

Good luck. Odds are WAY better than lottery. 😎

So with the new ford memo saying you can switch from Hybrid to Ecoboost who will do that?. If your already a Ecoboost order please ignore this.

What about switching from one Ecoboost to a formerly constrained Ecoboost- such as a Lux or Tremor package?

To a Lux has always been an option. But to a Tremor should now be an option.

I have a hybrid order and could go either way.

Curious how y’all are making this decision.

What factors are going into your thought process?

I drive 95% of the time in the city going 50mph or less and most trips are 20 minutes or less.. Hybrid is a no brainier for me. Not changing.

I think cost of ownership should be a big factor. In your case it does sound like a no brainer to stay hybrid. In my case I do very little driving in the city and actually not many miles a week to and from work. Easier for me to switch. Wife don't care LOL. Sticking with hybrid :ROFLMAO:

Poll results, while very limited, are what I expected. Even Tim said he had one out of his what, 700(?) orders make the switch yesterday. I fully expect very few people to make the switch to EB.

For me, I work from home. The tank of gas I put in my Saturn in October will last me until January. As a result, gas savings don't actually matter to me. The added convenience of being able to pull more if necessary with the 4K is why I went EB to begin with. My wife burns through more gas with her Escape with local driving and we have already said her next vehicle will be an EV as a result.

I have an 2022 XLT Hybrid with the Lux Package and I would not change it for anything. I absolutely love it. I drive mostly Highway and still get 38-40mpg. I even tow a 1500pnd tent trailer with it and have no problems with lack of power or anything and I still get better fuel mileage than the EcoBoost when not towing. I don't think I would ever buy a vehicle with a direct injection turbo engine, I have seen too many YouTube Videos of EcoBoost and other turbo motor teardowns and they are carboned up, bad rod bearings etc, due to the high engine load from the extra air and fuel being pumped into the combustion chamber. Besides the Hybrid has no external belt drive to have to maintain, does not fuel dilute the oil, carbon up intake valves, has nearly the same get up and go. I think Ford under rated the power of the Maverick Hybrid, I think it has more than the rated 191 HP, I think its closer to 200HP, its definitely no slouch when it comes to power, I think its faster than my 04 Dodge Dakota with the 4.7 V8 or my 02 Mustang with the 3.8 V6 with a tune, cat back dual exhaust and a CAI, and I thought it was pretty quick for being a V6.

90%+ of my driving is stop and go city. I wouldn't even buy a maverick if it wasn't for the hybrid. I am not really desiring another car or any SUV. It's truck or van only for me. No American company Hybrid vans on the market, so here we are.

My prediction is the answer will be overwhelmingly "no" simply because the hybrid is the reason most people even looked at the Maverick to begin with.
The gas mileage is the main reason I want the hybrid. Yet the reality of wanting a pickup is making a 2.0 an option. I wonder if it is smarter to keep the hybrid order and hope they transition any unbuilt orders even though they don't plan to. Pissing off 38% of buyers would seem to be bad for business. There is the other option that at some point the used market will get better and in my area, there will be a lot of 2.0 AWD options. All comes down to waiting sucks.

It seems to me that a lot of people don't know what they really want.

A lot of people on forums and FB groups claim that the reason they want a maverick in the first place is not the hybrid engine, but the small overall size and cheap price of the maverick ( in comparison to a bigger more expensive truck )

I am convinced that there are a lot of people who ordered mavericks that don't need a truck at all.

If most of the orders were from people that really needed a small truck, where a smaller SUV or even car wouldn't also suit their needs.... Then surely there would be a fair number of those people who would take a EcoBoost engine over the hybrid to insure they get what they NEED.... a small truck.

Sure the hybrid gets better MPG, but the EcoBoost gets decent MPG too.

I don't plan to switch to a EcoBoost to help my chances at getting a 2023 Maverick. But that is because I ordered 4 mavericks.... Ordered a Lariat and a XLT at one dealer, then ordered duplicates from another dealer. I want both trucks, but really only need one. So I, even with the constraints and percentages being thrown around, have a pretty good chance of getting one of the four trucks I ordered built. So no need to switch my order. But.... If I ordered only one truck, I would strongly consider switching my order, because I really need a small truck and the EcoBoost would do everything I need the truck to do, some things even better ( like towing ), and the only drawback would be 25-35 mpg vs 35-45 mpg.

Not just no, HELLS NO.

The hybrid is almost as fast ( ya really )
The hybrid is almost as capable (way under rated in the stats)

The hybrid uses half as much gas.
The hybrid is so relaxing. It lowers your stress and blood pressure in congested traffic and how do you put a price on that? The slower you go, the more money you save. And in bumper to bumper traffic where you have NO CHOICE about your speed, so nice and calming to know 10 cents per minute is going into your pocket. Call it a consolation prize for being stuck in traffic.

Hybrids in general will add years to your life. Less stress (and less pollution too).

Missing AWD is the ONLY compromise in my book.
Yeah, but how much of good traction is dependent on the front drive. My guess, 80 percent. I would also like to add that the hybrid has a low range. I used this feature on my hybrid and was surprised how well my truck navigated a steep and bumpy dirt road.
