Ok, thanks. I realized they had to modify the shield with holes for the recall, but this particular hole looks as though it had something missing because of the long rectangular holes along the perimeter. It looked to me that there was a small shield with "tabs" that engaged those holes and it was missing, it didn't look like a modification afteward to a molded shield. Also, it seemed if it was a tooling change on the mold, they wouldn't have included those perimeter holes.

Strange. Does yours have the cut out panel like the illustration shown above or an outstanding recall?
My earlier Hybrid does not have the rectangular cutout. In the pics above it absolutely appears factory and not part of the recall. Notice the area surrounding it is recessed and the perfectly punched slots. ..
