Installing a CF hood on a Maverick for weight reduction or fuel economy is like ordering a Diet Coke with your triple quarter pounder with cheese and x-large fries to save calories...

Hadn't heard this before. Are there any other aluminum body panels?
There may be, but I’m not aware of them.

A magnet 🧲 will answer that question for you though.

If only I had a Maverick instead of waiting over a year. ;)

OP, sorry to pile on here, but just think about it for a second. The aluminum hood is already very light. You're talking about shaving a few pounds off a truck that weighs 3600.

The base materials are subject to those weight percentages. A molded CF hood strong enough to match the specs of the factory aluminum one would not be 60% lighter if much at all.
True. I was offering a best case scenario for the OP.

I'm far from being a person who wants to race my hybrid, but I feel like it would benefit the fuel economy of my truck if the hood could be replaced with a carbon fiber one. Alas, I cannot seem to find one anywhere online. Have any of you come across one for this truck? Also, having seen the evening sun glaring off of the metallic blue of my vehicle, I think having the carbon fiber would help with that aspect as well.
A carbon fiber hood would still be shiny but it would look pretty cool. They make adhesive accents for the hood that could stop glare

Saving a few pounds? Go on a diet: Less food costs and healthy.

There is potential to save $0.69743 per year in fuel due to weight savings of CF hood.

What I'm thinking is "How much do you weigh? and How much do your passengers weigh?" Better opporunity to reduce weight.

Also, never carrying anything in bed of Maverick will yield greater fuel savings as well as never towing anything.

The stock hood is already pretty darn light. I don't know about that one. Flat rims or aerodynamic hubcaps would probably give you more MPG.
