I took delivery of my 2022 Maverick Lariat last Wednesday. It's already in the shop with no heat and the check engine light on. WTF?

EB or Hybrid? Now don't you wish they would have not rushed your build? Just kidding.

It's a hybrid. I'm thinking I might want to check into the extended warranty.

What for  Heat comes from the ICE (gas) Engine not the Hybrid powertrain.

No heat sounds like catastrophic coolant loss.

Seems like I would have noticed that or smelled hot coolant. It did get heat for a few seconds, driver side only.

Could be a malfunction in the dual zone climate control. If you don't have dual zone, it's probably low on coolant. I forget what goes bad on the dual zone, but it's a relay or something. It happened to my F550 Lariat at less than 20,000 miles.

It's dual climate. I did get driver side to work after pushing random buttons on the controls several times, but not for long.

I drove fifteen miles or so and no heat, except for about 30 seconds.

Most likely that is where your problem is.

I tried every setting, turned AC on and off, spun heat settings to max a few times, turned fan on and off, punched zone settings on and off. Nothing worked except for the one time for a few seconds. Heat must be there, it's just not making it to the passenger compartment.
Dealer is only a few miles from my house so I dropped if off and am driving a loaner F-150 4x4.
I walked in the door and a salesman asked if I was bringing it back. His jaw dropped when I said yes.

We do have to all understand. Just because something is new doesn’t mean it won’t immediately have problems. It’s a man made manufactured product.
