He said it was from a Russian guy on eBay. They were from a Crown Vic and needed a little “fine tuning“ to fit.

Yes all four wheels and tires needed to come off and the stock silver paint needed to be chemically stripped to bare metal before powder coating.

I know it’s impolite to talk about money but what was the cost to coat one wheel?

go to www.prismaticpowders.com and drive yourself crazy trying to pick from 6,500+ colors
once you narrow it down to 10 colors or so order swatches so you REALLY know what it's going to look like. FYI you need 2lbs of powder for all 4 wheels

I have to say that I like Bronze for any blue, charcoal, graphite, or black colors.

The BFG trail terrains seem like an almost perfect tire for the Mav and it will be fun to see what it looks like on your build. The BFGs are in my top 2 along with falken wildpeak trails. They are both nice "compromise" tires that look great and do well on both the highway and light off road use.

Out of those options I think I'd go with off white.

I'm in Southern CA, so I'm assuming everything is more expensive here. The service was $650 and powder was $50, so $700 out the door. It was a 28 hour turn around, which I think is fantastic. Lifetime warranty from the powder coater so if for any reason a chip/scratch happens they'll fix it no questions asked. So, $175 a wheel? Like I said previously, the only wheels I kind of liked were usually around $400 each, not to mention paying someone to mount and balance the tires.
