That really stinks. Without a VIN you are toast though for 22. At least by next summer they should have all the kinks worked out. Or, someone else will have a small hybrid truck.

All we can do is smile anymore and not worry about what we cannot control. If Ford cannot deliver, we go elsewhere.

Where are you getting this? First off, the blog specifically says the hitch is constrained. That would impact 4K and non-4K orders with a hitch installed as the hitch itself is unchanged with the 4K. Second, our source is an online blog that gets some of its information from a forum that gets its information from that blog! See the problem?

I ready the post. They didn't share anything that wasn't already listed in Ford's MY23 constraint list a month ago.

I agree that the hitch is the same , it's the other items that come with the 4K tow package that would be the issue. Tranny cooler, brake controller, radiator, cooling fan , 7 pin connector ect. Sure as Hello hope it's not the hitch itself !

To that point, I could see Ford saying only hitch is constrained if they have the parts for a 4K and don't want to waste a hitch on a standalone. It's the same with the CP360. Since it is required for the CP360A, I could see Ford saying the CP360 by itself is constrained because they want to leave them for the CP360A they plan to build.

If very few hybrids are going to be scheduled will Ford allow us to switch to Ecoboost? I read somewhere that they weren't allowing an engine switch on orders. I want a hybrid but I need a vehicle. I wish Ford was more transparent with delivery timing. My salesman says he doesn't know any more than I do and claims I can't change engines on my 23 order.

Just don’t understand why, if the Escape has the same hybrid power train and it doesn’t seem to have constraint issues, Ford can’t just “borrow” a few thousand for the Maverick!

To summarize :

And that the constrained hitch receiver is not available to order as a standalone item, but is a part of one of the above packages.

The 4-pin hitch receiver can be ordered as a stand alone option on all vehicles and is standard on XLT Luxury Package, Lariat Luxury Package and Tremor Off-Road Packages. With the 4K Tow Package the hitch has a 7-pin connector.

So how can Ford Authority say that the supposed constrained trailer receiver can't be ordered (because it can) and that it is only constrained to the above mentioned packages as the trailer receiver in those packages is the same 4-pin trailer receiver that can be added to any Maverick.

I don't understand where it is that splash guards are a serious constraint item, I checked this afternoon and the Ford Accessories distributor had them in stock and that's where they ship to the dealership from when you order them with your vehicle. So, if you want them on your new Maverick, just have the dealership order them when your vehicle is shipping, they should be there to be installed prior to delivery.

And bank opens up at 7am EST? While the dealers in the west coast are ZZzZzZzzZzZz, the East Coast dealers filled up the quota. California = gets nothing! Yeah! Moving on.

they hybrid quota didn't sell out in one day ...or 3 hours..., there was plenty of time to get a hybrid order in on the west coast.
