Ford isn't capable of making such an intelligent move right off the bat. Could you imagine how sweet that Maverick would be? Probably ballpark 38mpg most of the time AND the ability to tow when needed? Dream even bigger: EcoBoost AWD PHEV with about 30 miles of all electric range! Game over, man, game over!Of course, the Holy Grail would be a 2.0 EcoBoost Hybrid AWD (and if you could install the 4k towing package!) Rumored to have been in testing, but not substantiated... A run-about without limits.
It's a 2023It's a 2022 correct?
The problem here is, that is at odds with reality. The Dealer is Ford as far as I am concerned.
I thought they weren't being scheduled till next week. At least that is what this thread is about. It's a 2023
I can think of a few thousand reasons.you musta thought this was opposite day? There is NO reason to choose hybrid over the ECO AWD with 250HP & 4k tow. May as well get a Prius![]()
Pretty much every part short of the body and core motor is sub contracted out to suppliers. Suppliers both close by and world wide. The suppliers rely on sub suppliers both local and world wide. Etc,,,,etc... The whole supply chain is a mess right now. It's not just "chips". Everything from steel, plastic resin, to screws are in short supply.I really wonder about why the splash guards in particular is such a constraint. It's just molded plastic. Is it that hard to subcontract out?
Why spend the extra $5,000 to $10,000?More accurately, you may as well get a hybrid RAV4 or CRV...
Are you a rollover ?Got word from my dealer today that my XLT Tremor + Lux is previewing. Fingers crossed
He said "previewing" which is a pre-scheduling step.I thought they weren't being scheduled till next week. At least that is what this thread is about.
You picked the EX version of the CR-V Hybrid so the comparison should be with a Maverick XLT Hybrid. From this morning, via the site.. I did it for comparison when someone suggested a Honda BR-V based Maverick competitor.... becuase I wanted to see if Honda had offered AWD on their hybrid platform this year as rumored..

Anyway, getting off track.... but just wanted to illustrate that a well equipped Maverick starts approaching Honda Territory.. But like the Maverick Hybrid... none in stock here in Southern Arizona... so really it's academic.... but perhaps you can order one?
I would go with an over equipped Maverick starts approaching Honda Territory.
Not sure anyone on this forum could answer that... they are all over priced. But I do have a limit on the amount of time I can wait, so if Ford can't build my 9/16 ordered hybrid by then, I will be looking elsewhere. Actually, I am already looking elsewhere because i don't think Ford can build what was ordered. But i may be able to convince the wife to sell her prius and keep the maverick in like 14 months when it is finally built. Why spend the extra $5,000 to $10,000?
If I can't get a hybrid this year I might just switch to a 2022/2023 Kia Niro hybrid. Similar price to the XLT and has way better mpg. No towing or 4' bed but at some point, I need a vehicle. The XLT price increase has opened up more car options. ARGH.The hybrid is the only reason to own this truck. Oh well......
