If it was really important to them they could just get them off Amazon. 🤣 They at least claim to be OEM for MY 22 which I'm guessing is the same.

All joking aside, the better question might be why people aren't just ordering without the mud flaps and installing them themselves. I thought they were supposed to be a pretty easy install.
I remember that it was not long ago that we were talking about Ford running out of the blue oval logos for the trucks and offering people the chance to have them installed by dealers later on. At that time you could still buy them from Amazon. (Now mud flaps)

People it is Amazon that is our problem, not Ford! Amazon is hoarding all of the missing parts for our trucks! That is it! I am going straight to Amazon and ordering my Maverick from them. Lol!! ;) :)

The EB variant is still better on gas than most current midsize trucks(a few of the diesels may have it beat?).
If you don't need the full capability of a midsize pickup but want something practical, fuel efficient, and less than $30k then they EB is a great option for many people.

Exactly. If the hybrid was offered in AWD, I would have gone that direction. For me, buying a 2wd pickup is like buying a blind hunting dog. Sure, it's a dog, but it doesn't work as it's intended purpose. The eco still gets double the mpg I get out of my current full size pickup. For 60-70% of my everyday driving the Maverick will do what I need at a lower cost and I don't need to spend $60k to buy a new full size.

That hunting dog sure was nice! But ever since he became blind we stopped giving him the gun. ;)

I remember reading somewhere that the splash guards is contracted out to a local plastics firm next to the Hermasillo factory complex, but they've had staffing issues and haven't been able to manufacture the parts that they make to feed the Ford Hermasillo plant, but not sure how true that is.
Sounds about right. There are allot of injected molding plants in Hermosillo, Guaymas and Empalme that support the automotive industry. Big players like CooperStandard, Intec, BFGoodrich, etc.. They practice some foul stuff with letting folks go just before they complete their 90 day probation period; so no benefits are paid. Not hearsay, I did consulting work for CooperStandard and Tyco in Empalme and BFGoodrich and Intec in Guaymas (both about 60 to 90 minutes south of the Hermosillo Ford plant) for many years. New employee orientations were constant; a revolving door.

That said, if I person was on time every day, stayed busy, kept the chit chat down to a minimum, cell phone in their locker, minimal breaks and distractions... they usually kept them on... They really try to weed out all but the most conscientous hardworking folks. It's tedious work, monotonous, wears out your hands due to repetition, standing on concrete, long commutes via buses, etc... Challenging.

I would say for the near term, very few if any Hybrids will be scheduled for production.

No offense to anyone who really has their heart set on a Hybrid, but I am thankful I ordered an EB.
I who have a Hybrid on order salute you.

The more orders that are an EcoBoost the higher my chances are in getting my Hybrid scheduled.

That ties in with the rumors of staffing problems for the injection molding subcontractors, especially if they pay them shit even for Mexican wages.

Ford might as well start buying the mudflaps from Amazon at this point.

Ford may be focusing on EBs because they are about to get a shipment of motors to use. Or Ford's shipment of hybrid parts aren't in yet. Or it could be when Ford said 35% constraint for Hybrid, they meant it. So the fact EBs make up 35% of orders means they are simply easier to schedule.

Since we will never know the truth, it's just speculation. Once the VINs start rolling out, we may have a better idea of what Ford's selection criteria is.
My uneducated guess is they're using up a good number of Hybrid components finishing up the 2022 year. I feel like a lot of the orders I've seen that are scheduled for the end of 2022 are Hybrid, so they may be planning to burn through the November allocation of Hybrids in the first half for 2022s and kick off 2023 with EBs. I've seen similar done in production planning where possible, though can be a hassle and expensive if they have to speed up shipment of parts to the factory.

So they have enough to sell Amazon, but not to sell to Ford? LOL

Still going to bury my head in the sand and pretend that my base model hybrid with no options will be one of the few early ones built since it has no constraints or add ons.
Move over and give me some space... I am doing the same.
