I was a full on ACC hater until I used it a few times on long jaunts to the cottage.

Now would not buy a vehicle without this feature. There’s definitely a learning curve as to when and where ACC is best suited for the conditions but when the stars align, it’s amazing and can turn a nightmare commute into a pleasant drive.

Got totally lucky because I thought it was included in 360 package on XLT but Ford makes you add Lariat trim to get it which I ended up doing for other reasons.

There's a Mav owner near me who is furious that is XLT with 360 doesn't have ACC. Ford doesn't or didn't make this clear enough on the build which is strange because they would have had more people upgrade to Lariat had it been spelled out better.

Possible this has changed. These were early days

ACC has always explicitly been listed as a feature in the '22MY Lariat Luxury Package. People are just bad at actually reading the option contents and assume 'Oh, CoPilot, that sounds like assisted driving = ACC!' or because completely different models/brands have it.

yea I agree but when I first read CP 360 I assumed ACC and subconsciously ignored the contradictory evidence. I got lucky but my neighbour did not and he's really pissed every time we roll out of our driveways in our respective Mavs for the trek to cottage country

Had it on my outback before the Mav and I find the mavs system better and more fluid. even more so with the lane centering.

It's like any other tool, use it in the wrong situation and it's meh but in the right situation or drive its spectacular.

Specifically ordered the lux for ACC. I have a daily 30 minute commute. I use it all the time.

ACC is the only reason I ordered Lariat over XLT.

Got it on my Sonata Hybrid, along with lane centering. Love it love them both. Yes, there was a learning curve but worth it.

I absolutely DESPISE ACC. Rented a car once for a road trip (1200 miles round) that had it. Hated it so bad I ended up driving without cruise rather than have it constantly slow down and speed up.

^^^ I felt the same way first few times I used it but like anything, there's a learning curve as to when it's appropriate and how best to implement it in your commute. Once past the hump, it is awesome

you really don't slow down and speed up any more than you would if you're manipulating yourself with the pedal once you get the hang of using the toggle and distance meter

We have this on my wife's car and I'm just not a fan. I've tried it out multiple times over our five year ownership and prefer to turn it off and use regular cruise.
That said it could be our traffic here in Atlanta (and south of), could be I'm not patient enough to figure out the right times or a combination of both. But it does have a fanbase for sure.

ACC is the way to go for highway driving. It takes the stress out of the driving behind an other car.
If available on the car which i want to buy, this is always my most valuable option. You select the distance you want to drive behind a car on the highway: close, medium, or distant. This technology is worthwhile every penny. Once you get used to it, and let it work for you, you don't want to switch it of. You want to see great mileage on the highway with a Hybrid ?? ACC is the the tool to hypermile the car. Referring to my (soon to arrive) Maverick, ACC was the trigger to select the Lariat Lux package.

Or just move over into the passing lane when possible and ACC will automatically resume speed!

Main reason I went for the Lariat Lux package
I drive an hour home in stop and go conditions on I-10
ACC just makes it less stressful (once you start trusting it that is)
Only thing I would change is how aggressively it will speed up when the car in front changes lanes
But as I type this I wonder if drive mode affects this as I drive in sport mode 99% of the time
