Tuesday Deadline For 2022 Orders Transition to 2023?

I received a message from my dealership that Ford has put a Monday September 19 or Tuesday September 20 Deadline For 22 orders than are transitioning to 2023.

Has anyone else heard of this?

Nope. Ford Corporate is not doing anything as it relates to MY22 to MY23.

There is no deadline or start for that matter.

The dealers have been advised to use their priority code methodology to assist 22MY customers to get ahead of new 23MY orders.

I'm sure what the OP means by deadline to transition is simply the deadline to place a new order. We all know Ford is not automatically converting orders, but we also know demand is damn strong and order banks will close early this week. Today or tomorrow I would consider "early" so sounds about right @Nandark.

Existing 22 customers who did not get a VIN and those who want to place a new 23 order should act FAST!

Chapman of Horsham sent me an email that the order banks are closing early to mid-week this week. This has been confirmed by other dealerships from what I have read over the weekend. I would get your order/reorder in ASAP!

I ordered on Thursday and my salesman suggested it was going to close within a week. I thought thar was crazy talk. Apparently I am the crazy one. Isn't it strange that you put in an order on the first day and now you wonder if that order will actually be fulfilled?

I sure hope Ford corporate sends out an email today to all the 2022 unscheduled buyers that they need to re-order NOW . Don’t wait until tomorrow or Wednesday. Long McArthur is already at 650 orders for 2023.

They won't, but in 45 days they will "Understand your frustration" and encourage you to check with dealers about in-stock Mavericks or to start planning your 2024 order.

You forgot to add “Check Out The New and Exciting Tremor Package” for 2023 which the computer system keeps saying can’t be ordered.

I fully expect the order banks to close without anyone being able to order the Tremor. Then they will make some for dealer stock that will be marked up $10-15k from sticker.

Per a posted FORD communication to dealers, MY23 Hybrid order banks close TOMORROW, and MY23 EcoBoost order banks close WEDNESDAY. If you don't get with your dealer by then to enter a MY23 order, your MY22 order will be a worthless piece of paper, and you won't be getting a Maverick until likely MY24.
