On Friday my dealer (Acton Ford in Acton, MA) called me to ask if I wanted to move my 2022 order to 2023. I said yes and he told me he would figure out the paperwork and give me a call back. He calls back and informs me that he never received any correspondence from Ford, but that I actually have a build date. He sends me the attached screenshot and provided my VIN and order number. At first, I was very excited as I've waited almost year, but the more I looked into it and thought about it the more I got worried. I checked my email (including spam) and I never received an email even though I've received all the other correspondence from Ford apologizing for the delays.

Basically, my worry is that somehow I'm getting wrong information from my dealer that I'm scheduled to get a 2022 and that if I'm not truly scheduled for a 2022 I'm going to miss out on ordering a 2023 and that I will never get a Maverick... I believe that the screenshot is showing that my build date is scheduled for 11/26/2022, but are 2022s even being built that late? Is that fact that I have a VIN enough reassurance that my truck is, in fact, scheduled to be built? I'm hoping that some of you extremely knowledgeable people can either reassure me that my truck will be built or let me know if my worry is founded and I need to do some more digging to make sure I don't fall between the gaping cracks in the Ford ordering and tracking process. Thanks so much in advance!

I never got the email from Ford concerning the vin and build date. I got it by calling Forrd customer service I did get the other emails from Ford too. The build date I see on the visibility report shows Nov 7th Call Ford Customer service to ease your mind. But you are good.

I just had the identical conversation with my dealer and was searching here for more info. I have a build date the week of October 24th, but had no correspondence from Ford. Fingers crossed this works as I do not currently have a 23 ordered. Guess we shall see!

You are scheduled to be built the week of Nov 7th. Scheduled to be delivered between Nov 26 and Dec 2. That is why those fields say ETA.

No email to you because we are not close enough to week of Nov 7th yet. I am scheduled to a week in October and have not gotten an email yet either.

That is what vehicle visibility report looks like (I work @ a dealership). I can't see why they'd give you the VIN for another customer.... how would that help them?

As others have said, week of Nov 7th is your build week. That VIN will be built as 22MY. You should be good!

Ahh yes, I misread that visibility report. 11/7 build date makes more sense.

BTW ... fun fact, you are scheduled to be the 109,522 vehicle to go through the assembly line.

I'm in this limbo zone too where I have a build week and VIN I got from contacting customer support, but no email from Ford or build date. I'm worried about my build and VIN getting canceled if it's delayed to the point they can't meet the MY22 deadline, and then I'm stuck with no 23 order because I was told my 22 would get built so I didn't need one.

Ford Customer Service is always friendly and sometimes has information before you hear from the salesman. Phone number is 800-334-4375.

The word I got from my dealership was that my MY22 has been moved to a MY23 build. I have received from Ford that my order has been confirmed 9/16/22 just like it was on 12/16/21. Oh well, the wait begins again! Does anyone at Ford really know what the heck is going on?
