Has anyone received their offer or know when/how to get it?
I heard people calling the customer service number to get it. Heard others say they get it once the MY23 order is in.

Very confusing

I called and they stated my MY22 lariat is still uncheduled-clean and I will not get the offer until they balance it out.
I already ordered the MY23 lariat and the dealer stated it should be automatic if anything.
Nobody seems to know (not a surprise at this point)

Starting to get paranoid I'll loose out on the $2750.

I'm sure many others are confused with this process.

The way I understand it, someone correct me if I’m wrong but this is supposed to be applied later in the production process, after the vehicle is built. It’s in Ford’s ordering system WBDO and obviously verifiable by Ford Corp. and your dealer, without your immediate involvement.

I have been trying to get my Private Offer Cert # since Wednesday with zero luck. Every time I call Ford Marketing, I get a contradictory answer on how/when they get generated. The first person I talked to said that the dealer had to do something (balance it out the MY22?) before it would be generated but several dealers here on MTC (check out Geoff's post) said that is absolutely not the case. I know that there are quite a few folks here that already have their Cert # and had the $1750/$2750 applied to their double-signed Buyer's Order when they placed their order the last two days.

When I called Ford Marketing yesterday I was told that the Private Offer was automatic and linked to your name, mailing address, and phone number on file when the MY22 order was placed (and they needed all three of these things to look up the Private Offer). If there was not one currently in the system, it meant that the dealer screwed something up (i.e., mis-typed the zip code or phone number, etc.) when they orignally placed your order. The dealer needed to figure out what they did wrong and then contact their Ford Corporate "Inventory Specialist" to have it fixed so that a Special Offer could be created.

I have been trying to contact my dealer but they are not responding. I had thought that this was not going to be a big deal since I had at least until Sept 30th to get this figured out and place my roll-over order. However, based on the speculation that order banks may close as soon as this Monday, it looks like we don't have time to pro-actively fix this.

Like you, may fear is that I place an order now, wait another 8+ months, and then find that Ford has "lost" my Private Offer and just blames the dealer. I have a bad feeling that this is likely to happen to a LOT of folks here.

I also have not received anything via email or mail. When I asked my dealer he said he thought it would come by mail, but he seems to be a few steps behind with information, so I’m not putting much faith in that.
I’m also concerned about losing the offer and I am reluctant to place an order without it. I’m also considering changing from an Ecoboost to a hybrid (drove a hybrid and really liked it), but I don’t know if I can use the offer that way since I have nothing to look at.
Very frustrating to not have anything in front of you when trying to make decisions on a major purchase.

My dealer said it will be in the SmartVincent system once the MY23 order has a VIN.

I called the Ford support line in Friday and they gave me the code to my special offer. I would try again next week. Hopefully they get everyone up to speed.

I got my 22 vin 2 weeks ago. Many thought it would be better to get rolled into a 23. I was happy to get it for this very reason. Just another thing to be confused about and maybe even stressing. At least I'm off of the " How will I receive My private offer train?" I'm sure this will be addressed many times in the coming months by TheFordVideoGuy on youtube. It is difficult not knowing and I hope your fears are not realized if you have them.

I believe @fordvideoguy said they will show up in Smart Vincent and be applied by ANY dealer on any trim or power train at the time of purchase. I called the maverick marketing number and got a royal runaround by the rep. He just talked in circles. He could see my ā€˜22 order but wouldn’t or couldn’t give me a certificate number. I checked with the dealer and they gave me a ā€œwe always look for private offers and rebates at the time of purchaseā€ just wait till then answer. Doesn’t seem like your old or new dealer needs to do anything right now or even has enough good information to do so.
Get your order in and count it as a win if it comes through in 8months or a year or whenever you get your ā€˜23. I know that’s lame but I don’t think you can do much about it.

Why the confusion? Private offer, same way as price protection was previously, is applied to the sticker price at time of sale.

Note that private offer is not price protection but a different kettle of fish, Say for example the price of '23s goes up between now and when your truck arrives. Price protection, being tied to order date, would negate the amount of such an increase, whereas private offer ignores order date and instead subtracts a specific amount from whatever the price is at date of build.

If you have a '22 order converted to a '23, that data is all in the system, inextricably tied to your name , ready to unleash private offer at time of sale.

As I read it the the early closing of the 2023 order bank is the closing of NEW 23 orders orders not the 2022 REORDERS until Ford figures out the status of the 2022 orders. Apparently there was such a large number of both kinds of orders being placed, I am sure including some 2022 reorders placed for scheduled but unbuilt 2922 orders because they are unsure if they actually be built. Think about it! If every dealer on average ordered 20 mavericks in the first 3-4 days Ford's 2023 production is booked. I believe that each of the two electric motors has 7-8 permanent magnets so there is well over 1,000,000 magnets just for Ford's Maverick alone. Where will all the rare Earth's be sourced within a month or two to build all the electric motors. BIG hint from Ford is we are not planning to roll over ANY 2023 orders into 2024. This implies that retail orders will be limited to lower production capacities 40-60% (?) with the balance being for other "what can be built" types. This would give Ford the ability to do things like filling rail cars heading to a particular ramp with dealer stock so that retail orders could be shipped quicker. How many retail orders had their build dates advanced several months were built just so a rail car could be filled? Etc,etc?

My take on the situation is that they cut the orders off early because they saw they were about the repeat the same situation as last year with the Maverick. In which Ford dealers wouldn’t get stocked Mavericks because all assembly was going to retail orders. I read stories on this board about certain well established dealers getting hundreds of orders but I think that’s because of the reputation they built up and consumers from miles away ordered from them. My 22 reorder was from a medium size dealer and as of Friday night they only had 2 maverick orders including mine. I think in total they had 9 orders last year and where able to fulfill 6 of them, unfortunately not mine. But the only Mavericks I ever saw listed on their website were from retail orders that the consumer backed out on list $$$$$ above msrp. Deals have to be peeved because most lots sit empty of new cars and it’s hurting their bottom line.

FYI Dealers made record profits last year on the backs of consumers.

Thanks, yea most of my confusion comes from the fact it's my first new car purchase so I'm unaware of how everything really works.
That and all the uncertainty people seem to have about the ordering process to begin with.

And yea I know it's not price protection but a flat 2750, happy to get whatever.

As long as it's in the system and I don't get screwed at time of purchase I'll be fine.

The issue and confusion is specifically related to your last sentence: "If you have a '22 order converted to a '23, that data is all in the system, inextricably tied to your name , ready to unleash private offer at time of sale".

How does someone know that they have a Private Offer "ready to unleash at time of sale"? I have had an order in the Ford System since Oct 1, 2021. I have at least a 99% certainty that COPV/ROVP was done successfully since every time I contact Ford Chat they tell me it is "Unscheduled: Clean" with no issues (and at least one other person on MTC has a Maverick from them that is currently in delivery). I also have been getting all the e-mails where it shows my name to be correct (so thus at least my e-mail and name are correct in the Ford System). However, when I contact Ford Marketing, they do not show a Private Offer for me for some reason. All Ford Marketing can tell me is "contact your dealer and have them contact their Inventory Specialist". How long will that take? Will the Order Banks be closed by then?

Based on a couple of posts here on MTC, I am not the only one in this situation. My guess is that a lot of folks here did not even ask about the Private Offer when they re-ordered since they just assumed it would be there. I expect that some will have a rude awakening in another 6-9 months.

From what I have been told, Private Offer is not just tied to your name. It is tied to your name, address, and phone number (and potenitally your e-mail address). If any one of these is off by a single character, then no Private Offer will be in the system "at time of sale". The only way to know that you have a Private Offer is to call Ford Marketing or have your dealer check it in their system. If it shows up (and for many it seems to show up without an issue), then you are golden and have nothing to worry about. However, if it doesn't show up, then you are potentially screwed and either you or your dealer will need to jump through a bunch of hoops with the hope that someone at Ford is having a good day and willing to create a Private Offer for you.
