This is wild.

After reading that September 8 was the last day ANY 2022 model builds would be scheduled...

After calling the Ford Marketing 800 number on Monday (September 12) and verifying the 9/8 cutoff was correct, that I did not yet have a build scheduled, and that I would definitely need to convert my 2022 order to a 2023 between 9/15/22 and 9/30/22...

After speaking with my dealer on Tuesday, September 13 and verifying they would convert my 2022 order to a 2023 no later than tomorrow (Friday, September 16)...

My dealer called me this morning to let me know my 2022 Maverick is scheduled to be built the week of November 7. He confirmed that's a build week, not a build day, so it can obviously change. I haven't received an email from Ford yet and the salesman did not have a VIN for me (the dealer possibly does), but he said they'd verified it's in the system. I sure do hope so.

Things are definitely moving around still. I was scheduled for a week in October, then bumped to later in October, now am back to my original week. May be moved again. Who knows.

There are always CLEAN-UP scheduling done (shuffling of builds) until the final build date slots are completely filled up.

Obviously, without a VIN or even an email from Ford acknowledging it yet, my concern is they come might come back to me later and say, "Unfortunately, your 2022 is not going to happen and the bad news is now it's too late to get your 2022 converted to a 2023."

Not that I think the dealer would give me wrong information, because there's zero upside for them to do that, but I don't trust Ford to do anything they say.

I really need to go back to my original mindset when I ordered which was, if I get a truck, great, and if I don't, I'm happy I still have a low-mileage (very low considering it's a 2015 with less than 49,000 miles on it) Escape that I enjoy driving.

I called my dealer yesterday and he told me that I was a priority 2 and that I could still get scheduled for my MY22. Nothing surprises me anymore.

Be sure to call Customer service and get that VIN number. I wouldn't consider it a done deal until in had that.

Well, I thought I was alone, but this same thing happened to me yesterday, although I was in the right frame of mind to ask for the VIN while I had them on the phone. I have a build week of 10/17. Checked my order and VIN on the Ford website and sure enough, there it was. I've not received an email yet either, but I got a VIN and I'm tickled pink!

Chat or call with Ford. They’ll provide you with a VIN but the email won’t come until 2-3 weeks before your production week.

Oh, I remembered to ask if he had a VIN, but the salesmen didn't have it yet. It's possible he just didn't have it in front of him when he called.

I've harassed them enough this week. I'll check in again in a few days, or just contact Ford customer service directly.

Things are shuffling around. I got my VIN a couple weeks ago with a build week of 11/7 and found out yesterday it was bumped up a week to 10/31. To keep expectations low, if I have my truck by March I'll be happy.

So by the time you get your 22 it will be 2023. Are they going to give you a discount?
