Ford Maverick Scheduled for week of 2/7 being built this week Captur

I checked the order tracking this morning, which only works about 25% of the time, and was elated to see that my Alto Blue Lariat 2.0, AWD, 4K tow originally scheduled for 2/7 is being built this week! I was anticipating a delivery late Feb/early Mar delivery now possibly mid Feb. After hearing about others being delayed I wasn't anticipating this.

The window sticker shows the increase in pricing, more than $1000 on this build, so I contacted the sales rep to confirm price protection since he had previously assured my I would only pay MSRP on the original order (10/15/21). He was unaware of the price protection and assumed I would be paying the new sticker price. I provided him with the info I picked up off the forum including a link to @fordvideoguy Tim Bartz explainer and he said he would follow up.

If I understand correctly it will go one of two ways: either the invoice will come in at the price of the original order, or the dealer will need to go through the Ford claims system to cover the difference. If anyone has actual experience with this I would be interested to hear how it went.

So you never got an updated email from Ford saying you went into production?

I originally had a build date of 2/14 but then got an email last week saying it got bumped up to 2/7. I'll have to keep checking the tracker to see if anything changes.

And I have found that accessing the tracker through the link in the email works more often then just refreshing the page. Not sure if anyone else has had that experience too.

I have never received an email from Ford about my order, only from the dealer. Maybe they have the wrong email or something...

Oh! Sounds like your dealer didn't put your email in the system when they placed the order. You're supposed to get notifications through every step of the scheduling and production process. (Unless you're in Canada in which case you won't get any emails, but it looks like you're in AZ, so....)

2/7/22 Must be Alto Blue day as that is also my color of choice for my XLT🥳
