I may live in a fairy tale world but i did get a response after posting. Is the dealer so busy that it would be impossible to email or phone to inform "your truck is here" and we will call when its ready for delivery? still seems a reasonable request
There's no way Samantha replied to you just because you posted here. Do you know how many Maverick orders they have? Or orders in general? You know they sell more than just Ford right? They're not sitting around ignoring calls and emails and watching the forums to cherry pick who they reply to. Such a wild way to think though, hope the rest of transaction goes smoothly.

And also yes, they are probably just that damn busy. You have no idea pal. Hope they roll out the red carpet when you touch down in Granger Iowa though (y)

Pretty excited! Ordered 10/21. Pushed back from 7/4. I never received an email about this date. I new about it from someone on this site, then verified with the chat. Latest email says production scheduled 8/29. Tracker today says in production and I got a window sticker! I was holding my breath for another push back. XLT hybrid with 360.

Excuse me if this has been addressed before, but I have not seen any real numbers relating to actual invoice pricing. I thought invoice pricing is the dealer's cost to purchase. 3% below invoice is quite phenomenal. Are there massive hidden manufacturer-to-dealer incentives available? My dealer will accept X-Plan pricing when I order a '23. This sounds to good to be true. Just wondering folks...

Price list comparing MSRP & Invoice is right here on the site.. for 2022s at least, I wouldn't expect to see updated 2023 doc until mid-late September 2023:
2022 Maverick PRICE LIST! [MSRP / Invoice] - including packages, options, accessories | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions

As far as "invoice" goes, the "invoice" in the above list (and the invoice Granger uses pre-discount is technically "invoice w/holdback." The holdback is undisclosed but that invoice+holdback number already has some margin for the dealer baked in, in the form of a holdback. Something to remember is that there are also some major incentives for sales volume. And as we're finding out, Ford loves its volume dealers. Granger was offering customers a sweet deal with the intention of buying future market share, i.e. regional allocation. Hope that helps.

Also, the deal was not too good to be true, I'd wager that Granger has likely delivered thousands of vehicles below invoice pricing within the past year alone. They sell more than just Fords as well ;)

I forgot I saw this price list some time ago. I figured they made money on volume sales. I have not checked in a while, but holdback used to be 3% of MSRP on each vehicle sold for the Big 3. No magic here.

It finally happened! On August 25th spoke with Ford on chat and I finally got a VIN and build date of 10/17. My original order of a Hybrid XLT with Lux was made through Granger on November 4th of 2021 and like the rest of you I had kind of lost hope along the way. Now fast forward to September 9th I get an email from Ford that my build week is September 19th! Plus, as of today September 14th I can view my window sticker. Now comes the wait for it the plant to build it and then for it to be shipped to Granger. If, it makes its way there next month that would be ideal. However, I am thinking probably November, December realistically with the rail and truck transport situation happening at the moment. This is my first truck purchase and first new vehicle in over 20 years, so I am looking forward to booking my flight to Iowa to go pick up my truck and bring it home to Texas!

I bought a new key ring, and had a complete new set of house, tool cabinet, shop keys made up for my Maverick. I also have my spare tire cable lock key, and hitch pin lock key on there attached to The Embraer "remove before flight" lanyard. That's the one I will attach my maverick key to. I think that's pretty appropriate given it's a "Maverick" these are gonna take the flight up there with me.

I'm in Lubbock!
My wife is from Smyer. She went to high school in Lubbock. You can buy "remove before flight" keychains from www.yardstore.com . I work doing aviation sheetmetal for a living. Car sheetmetal as a hobby. Yard store sells aviation sheetmetal tools. The keychains are about $2 each.
