It means that Sync 3 on Lariat Luxury Package will now include factory navigation. They're throwing in words to make it sound fancy. Basically, it's on the Sync 3 touchscreen. You can also use Sync voice commands to control navigation.

The only way to get factory navigation on a 2023 Maverick is to order a Lariat with Lariat Luxury Package.

Otherwise, you're able to use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, whichever your smartphone supports, and use navigation apps from your plugged-in phone on the car's touchscreen. All Mavericks support that feature.

That's what I figured. I'm not missing out on much for the 2023s. I'm not an off-roader so the Tremor package does not interest me at all, and I've already did most of the DIY mods to make my 22 Lariat have a Black appearance, save for some nice black seat covers. The Wet Okoles have really caught my eye.

Why don't they use Bluetooth for this? Many drones use Bluetooth and it can work miles away.

It has Bluetooth in the truck but you would hard press to use it with no cell services …

The Wi-Fi HotSpot in the Maverick is not used for communicating with the FordPass App in the Maverick.

The internal modem in the Maverick is used for FordPass connectivity and it remains even with the HotSpot removal.

Just don’t let the base price model go above $21,000. And keep the best color, Velocity Blue. No need to offer any other colors.

Had a velocity blue loaner for couple weeks. At first really liked the color, at the end of 2 weeks...thank god it didn't order that.

I'm just glad I got mine when I did considering with the supply chain constraints and ongoing chip shortage, a lot of features are now removed and offered as stand-alone options. The spray-in bedliner, remote start, ACC, evasive steering assist, and parking sensors are now optional instead of standard. Sure, it may have its perks considering not everyone wants those options but it's sad that they have to go to these measures in order to keep building what they can in response to the lack of supply. Just changing the climate knobs to a thermostat icon as oppose to a digital temperature readout is a desperate alteration since that requires less chips to operate.

I wonder if they are going to start offering color matched tailgate handles (they are the same as the Ranger)

I dont have remote starter on my XLT but I like the ford app when your upstairs getting ready for work or bed and wnt to check if you locked your doors or warm it up before work, in most cases your fob would not be around when you need it.
